Great for a 1 night stay, we were arriving at 1am but Victoria organised our late checkin with instructions and also left Heatpump on which was lovely when we arrived cold at night. Room was clean and enough space for our family. We were there just to sleep the night before continuing our journey so it served the purpose. Place also have a common kitchen for use which we used to make tea before leaving. A great cozy place.

The bunk beds were making too much noise, but we were extremely tired so after few minutes, everyone fell asleep.

Good location, very clean and comfortable. Beds were good, great access. Good parking and great communication with staff prior to arrival. Common areas I.e Kitchen, dining and lounge area was clean, cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely recommend to others.

Air conditioning not adequate or not working properly. Shower doors need fixing, coming off the runners and it took a lot fiddling around to be able to shut doors.

Room and bed comfortable. Only one plug in room. Modern kitchen dining area modern and well-laid out with games and books, great fire and TV. Very clean. Walls looks extra insulated for noise reduction. Nice clientele.

Only one plug in room. One had to go outside to get to kitchen/lounge from bedrooms. Pathway outside was wet and slippery because spas over-filled. Spa was not hot, not circulating properly and jets were not not working properly. Noisy street. No shower head holder actually worked.

Really loved the room, it was perfect for what i needed. Warm, clean, nice easy amenities and some privacy on the little outdoor deck which was lovely too.

Not so much that i didnt like, but i was visiting for work and needed a small work desk and seating space. I pulled the outside table in which worked a treat. But a small table and chair might be nice.

We stayed here after riding the Kaimanawa Decent. The room we were given was more like a tiny home! I had only booked a double room with shared bathroom so this was an upgrade. The facilities seemed very new, the room had everything we needed, including a little kitchen, BBQ, our own outdoor seating area. Bed was really comfy. The shower was big with good pressure.

The warm welcome and helpful staff. I was able to park my bike safely. Good kitchen and common room. Lots of outdoor space with tables and chairs to enjoy the sun while sheltered from wind. A great location. Powerful hot showers. Spa bath. Masseuse. All at a very good price. Single Room w Double bed. Sink. Shared bathroom showers are unisex.

It was exceptionally clean and tidy. The bathroom facilities were immaculate. Even though the facilities were shared, I did not meet another guest in the bathroom ever

I was considering staying another night but because there was no one in reception when I left, I chose not to discuss that. I could have booked online but would prefer an in person interaction. It all worked out fine and not necessarily something that needs changing. Thin walls and so was woken up by person speaking very loud on the phone.

We had a family room with its own bathroom, which was great. The rest of the facilities were good too. We made use of the kitchen/common room and the hot tubs (which you book separately). Despite very cold, near-snowing, weather in Ohakune the Snowman Lodge was warm and comfortable. It was also very central to Ohakune and all the restaurants, ski shops, etc.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean, I liked it that there was soap and shampoo available.

Location was convenient, but not very quiet for night as there were constantly trucks passing and stopping. The room was small and not set for a couple. Small bed and walking space.

The location is great for exploring Tongariro National Park and Mount Ruapehu. Lots of different hiking options available. Ohakune is a cute town with some nice restaurants. There’s even one attached to the Snowman Lodge but we didn’t feel like eating Thai food that night :) There’s two spa pools that can be used for free after 6pm (you have to book it in at the office, was quite easy). It was lovely to soak in the warm water after a day out hiking. The kitchen was very well equipped but the gas stove could have worked a bit better. Our room with en-suite was nice and clean, we had plenty of towels available.

The kitchen and the lounge area felt a bit grubby.
