The Martini Hotel is in a great location; it is located just a one minute walk from a grocery store and a tram stop. The location is right in the middle of town with great shops and restaurants all around. The town square is about a five minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has a beautiful bar with two pianos. A wonderful restaurant is right next to the hotel. The staff were very pleasant. We would definitely like to stay at the Martini Hotel again when visiting Groningen in the future.

Everything was fine.

This was my fourth or fifth stay at this hotel. I love it each time more and more. Beds are super comfy. Huge and soft. Breakfast is great. There is a restaurant as well, which has great food. We went there twice this time, and both were great. Location is very central. There are bars and cafés on the opposite side of the street and a bus stop close to the main entrance. But none of these was ever an issue noise-wise for me when I stayed there. You may see some reviews mentioning how the style of the interior is outdated. During this stay I saw how they were making changes on the first floor. Probably the entire hotel will be redecorated soon. I am kind of sad about this, as I love the retro style they had until now. But if everything else stays the same quality I will happily visit again.

I was worried about the facilities based on the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The room I had was more than perfect for one person. The decor is quite nice to look at, and I enjoyed the toiletries by Rituals. The twin beds were comfortable and the little stools more than sufficient for sitting by the desk to eat and drink tea. I ordered in my dinner and the staff kindly offered to defer the delivery driver to me when necessary. Overall, the staff was kind, all smiles and eager to help.

I booked a room on rather short notice, so I paid a little over €100 for one night, which is a bit high for my preferences. The bathroom is quite awkward as it is small and the toilet oddly placed. The breakfast was okay and filling, but I would have appreciated cards to indicate the items on the table. It was difficult to discern the differences between the cheeses, breads and other items. I try to reduce my dairy intake, so I imagine individuals with a lactose intolerance would appreciate the little signs, if staff isn't immediately available.

The location is super good. The parking spot is solving a lot of troubles and the breakfast, specially the quality of the products was super good. My husband is quite picky but he loved the egs and the bread! I loved the coffee (beans) and the fresh orange juice... Lovely! ☺️

The shower - if you don't want to wash your hair,there is no such an option. The shower was without a cable one (stable,attached in the wall),which is very difficult for the female part of the human population 😀....

Bed was good, comfortable, and neither too hard nor too soft. The location is a fairly sensible choice in Groningen, particularly given the parking facilities.

I really don't like the bathroom units in the room. They look rather tacky, even though they were extremely clean and functioned satisfactorily. I also found the scrambled eggs sub-optimal. Rather dried out and tasteless - probably made from reconstituted egg powder rather than from fresh eggs. The bread was good.

Great location in city centre, all within walking distance. Clean, nice bathroom products. Quiet room at the back of the hotel. They gave me a free room upgrade.

The bed was a bit soft for my liking. The breakfast and restaurant was too expensive for my budget. The room was also pricy but coming from Spain I'm not used to these prices so it was hard for me.

Lovely room, staff were very friendly (particularly the lady who checked me in at around quarter past 10) and forgiving despite my dutch being atrocious. Was my first time staying in a hotel alone and it was easy and pleasant.

Walking around late at night outside the hotel was perhaps a bit scary alone but this is somewhat to be expected in a city center. During the day this issue went away completely.

Straightforward/basic hotel that's centrally located and within walking distance of the train station.

Front-facing rooms are directly overlooking a busy(ish) street with many bars. The room I was in had almost no noise/sound suppression measures (soundproofed windows, white noise generator, free earbuds in the room, etc.), so expect to get woken up by drunk students and motorbikes if you don't bring earplugs.

great location. easy walk from the train station about a 1/2 kilometer. Right on the edge of the city center surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shopping, markets, town square, the university and public transportation. the room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was small but functional and had good water pressure. Weeva, on the first floor is a nice restaurant and bar - on one side of the main entry is the restaurant with good food, and on the other is comfortable bar, which is a great place to relax and unwind. I would say it's a very warm inviting place with a friendly accommodating staff.

nothing really, its my kind of place. After I left Groningen I stayed at a 4star Mercure hotel in Amsterdam, which was connected to the metro - very convenient. Overall nice, but I found it to be too modern and cold. I was wishing I was back at the Martini.

We had to get our room at 15.00, but at 12.00 it was ready. It was perfect. The staff was polite and helpful. They told us about sightseeing in Groningen and gave us a map. The hotel is situated in the heart of Groningen, and you can walk to all the districts of the city.

I couldn't make coffee in a coffee machine( Probably a little fridge on the floor would be great.
