Location was perfect although the room didn't have the great view it claimed to have 😂 Enjoyed the stay, it was clean and comfortable. Room was more spacious than expected. Perfectly clean. Room had hair dryer, tea and coffee, towels.

Breakfast portions of the hot food were a bit small and a little slow to be brought out - BnB appeared to be at full capacity so I understand but maybe need more help in the kitchen! (This was only a small inconvenience and mostly noted because the property advertises a "fabulous breakfast") No milk supplied with the tea and coffee in the room. Small TV.

We stayed for 1 night myself and my wife could not have been happier with the location 5 minute walk from town centre we were welcomed when we arrived and taken to our room the room itself was very spacious and spotless clean the lady could not have done anymore for us we had a great evening in the town centre and woke to a fantastic breakfast our experience in shalom was fantastic and we will most definitely be back our only complaint is we only stayed for 1 night will most definitely do a weekend next time

Jackie and Kevin are superb hosts they are friendly and make you feel so welcome 😊 On arrival I first noticed how the grounds of the house are beautifully kept Accommodation was Spotless and spacious with beautiful decor Top quality mattress and pillows I had a great nights sleep which is important Stunning view of Carlingford Lough from the breakfast room window Delicious 😋 breakfast served promptly by a friendly gentleman 😊 Great location. Five mins walk to town I would highly recommend the Shalom b&b

The friendliness was the best part! Jackie was very welcoming and so sweet. We had an amazing experience for our first night in Ireland. It had some great mountains and water views. As well as delicious breakfast. The rooms and house were very clean and had cute decor. Outside was really pretty as well. You can tell they put a lot of effort and work into their house and make you feel at home. If we weren’t going all over Ireland, we would have definitely stayed more than one night.

I liked that the rooms were away from the main house so it was very private. We were able to come and go as we please but assistance was on hand if we needed it. Lovely accommodation, surroundings and views. The host, Jackie was a really nice lady too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

The proximity to the lough and view. We also enjoyed it was a short walk into the village. Also, the hospitality of the owners!

I wouldn’t say didn’t like as much as recommend to update the look of the rooms. The bathrooms were modernized which was a plus and the heating covers underneath the bed made for a relaxing day after long walks.

Jackie and Kevin were lovely and very welcoming. The property is situated in a quiet location out of the town centre but in easy walking distance of the local amenities. Lovely views from the dining room, and breakfast was plentiful with a choice of continental, cooked or both. Would definitely stay here if we visit Carlingford again.

The bathroom would benefit from a refurb, however it was perfectly functional.

Beautiful stay! The Host Jackie gave a lovely welcome and a goodbye with a smile. Very comfortable bed with a bonus of a heating blanket. Lovely heat from the room the next morning! Only short walk distance to bus station and all the local bars. Lovely hot breakfast each morning. Great Value for money. Would highly recommend. Will be back! 🫶🏽

Shalom on the Ghan Road was in the perfect location, just a short stroll into the main shopping/eating areas. Across the little road at the location was a fairy garden for kids plus very interesting installations for adults. Breakfast was served upstairs on first floor and had stunning views of the lough. Highly recommend the greenway from Carlingford to Omeath either walking or cycling. Lovely little cafe in Omeath just at the end of the greenway. Hot and cold foods. Great restaurants and bars, lovely atmosphere in the town, it was a first visit for us and we would return.

The only issue was we both found the mattress a little bit hard but other than that would highly recommend Shalom and Carlingford.

Kevin and Jackie went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was 10/10. I'd say ours was 11/10! The room was very clean and modern. The beds were insanely comfortable - I didn't want to get up! Breakfast was delicious and is served in a room with a gorgeous view of the water and mountains. Also, the leprechaun and fairy park/cavern is not to miss. The attention to detail and storytelling was incredible. It was a memorable visit and I would absolutely recommend the Shalom B&B to anyone!
