I cannot say anything negative about this hotel, whatsoever. It is such a beautiful place to stay and very stylishly designed. Frank, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful, and cooks a fantastic omelette for breakfast! It's right in the centre of Bayeux and I shall definitely stay there again if I'm in the area as it's a perfect place to stay!

Our room “Miro” was nicely decorated, charming, clean, comfortable, and quiet even though one window faced the street. We easily walked to the Cathedral Notre Dame, the gardens, all downtown restaurants, shops, and groceries. I cannot image a better spot for seeing Bayeux on foot. We used Viator for a small group tour of the Normandy D-Day beaches and cemeteries with pickup right in front of the gate. The proprietors are lovely, friendly, and so very helpful with our luggage, making breakfasts, finding restaurants, and generally making us feel welcome. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone who enjoys a charming B&B.

This wasn’t a problem for us thanks to Frank’s help with our luggage, but there are carved stone spiral stairways up to the room. We had no trouble navigating them without luggage, but it might be difficult for anyone who finds stairs challenging.

Beautiful courtyard and breakfast room. Very nice breakfast. We stayed in a very old historic building, which was well appointed and comfortable. We are 70+ year-old couple in relatively good shape so we were able to navigate the stone spiral staircase, which was up two floors. Since we were carrying heavy bags, it would’ve been helpful for our host to help with the bags. We were able to navigate the steps, but for some people this may be difficult. We were able to park our car very easily a few steps away around a beautiful park. This bed-and-breakfast is a great location for visiting the Normandy sites and the nearby Normandy towns.

I think this must be the best place to stay in Bayeux (and many other places in France). The room was perfect - spacious, aesthetically pleasing, had clearly updated fixtures/plumbing, extremely quiet, and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds my partner or I had ever slept on. We only spent one night here, but we wish we could've had more. The Manoir has a very pretty garden and the location is close to anything you'd want to do in town, and only about a 15 minute walk from the train station. The owner was very friendly and accommodating and gave us a lovely breakfast the next morning. Thank you so much - we hope to be able to come back!

Nothing to dislike

The bed is super comfortable! The breakfast, especially the omelette made by the host, is delicious! The room looks exactly like the pictures and if you really want to experience a real medieval room built in the 15th century, this is it! You walk up the swirling stone staircase in a tower, with wooden floor that gives a crackling sound to the old European stone floors for the bathroom and corridor. Everything in the room is clean and comfortable. The kitchenette had everything- microwave, coffee machine, water kettle, plates, bowls etc!

Everything is perfect.

The location was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable and wonderful pillows. I also loved the decor and monogrammed sheets. Everything was very clean. The shower was large and great plumbing fixtures. The host, Frank was so nice and breakfast was delicious. Since we were arriving late, Frank keep in quick communication with us. He waited up until we got there, helped us park and showed us everything in the room and facility. He is a wonderful host!

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. However after reading previous reviews before we arrived about the circular staircase we packed a smaller overnight bag and left our large suitcases in the car. It would have been somewhat difficult to carry large suitcases to the second or third floors. The first floor only had 2 steps to it so that would allow for larger suitcases.

The location was perfect- at most a seven minute walk from anywhere we wanted to visit in Bayeux, and the view of the Cathedral was beautiful. In addition, it was maybe a five minute walk from the jumping-off point for the D-Day tours, which my partner and I very much appreciated with the early start. Breakfast every day was delicious, we definitely looked forward to waking up each morning and enjoying it. The room itself was spacious and comfortable and came equipped with everything we needed. It was easy a couple times during our stay to just sit in the room a while and enjoy the view with an espresso and a pastry from one of the nearby bakeries.

No complaints worth mentioning.

The room was large, very comfortable and beautifully decorated, and had a separate kitchen. We especially loved the private garden with flowers, seating and a friendly cat, and the location of the hotel was excellent. We're grateful to Frank for his excellent restaurant recommendations, as they needed booking ahead of time.

Breakfast was lovely but we would have liked a little more variety such as muesli and fruit salad. We stayed on the ground floor and had heavy luggage which was fine, but there was a narrow spiral staircase which would have made carrying luggage upstairs difficult if we'd been on a higher floor. The wi fi password printed inside our door wasn't spelled correctly so we took a while to work it out. We had to pay a tax on the last day in cash, so it's worth taking some cash. Another small point is we would have liked some brochures about Bayeux in the hotel, and instructions about where to park.

Manoir Saint Victoire is an exceptional bed and breakfast that I would recommend to anybody looking for a cozy, luxurious and homey accommodation right in the heart of Bayeux. Frank is an incredible host; he makes homemade breakfast each morning to your liking, including fresh pastries and produce from the local market. The rooms are well-appointed and beautifully designed, with brand new interiors all in a beautiful 14th century tower! The town is very walkable and Manoir Saint Victoire is very close to all of the sites in Bayeux but does not feel like you are a tourist, rather that you are a local in a cozy French town.

Superb central location, very unique staying in a turret tower, plus very exclusive as we only saw maximum 4 other people staying. The owner was a very pleasant guy who helped us out with locations to eat for our stay. Breakfast in the morning was always a pleasant experience, fresh croissants & bread along with a freshly cooked omelette to your liking, along with fresh melon & yogurts. Great little garden to have your own drinks if desired as the kitchenette had a fridge. A very relaxing atmosphere & will definitely book again if we go back to Bayeux.
