Terrific breakfast. Exceptionally comfortable bed and pillows. Perfect central altstadt location. Good restaurants immediately nearby. Nice bathroom shower head sprays.

Unfortunately, there was a problem with our reservation and we were essentially forced to be 'upsold' into a more expensive room. And we also had unacceptably poor housekeeping refresh and cleaning services one day, including the absolutely unacceptable circumstance that the housekeeping staff adjusted our room temperature (both by opening our deliberately closed curtains *and* turning off the air conditioning)!

Fantastic location, right in the heart of the old town, with many restaurants and interesting shops very close. Our room was on the top floor, with dormer windows giving a lovely view over the Haidplatz. The original timber beams formed an integral part of the room and connecting areas. Everything was clean and tidy. Staff were discreet and friendly.

As ever, it would be good to have a little fridge in the room. Breakfast selection was a bit limited, but that's ok.

The location in central Regensburg (old city) was excellent. The hotel has character and is modern. For both business and leisure most suitable. It is a functional hotel for a short visit or stay.

The rooms have no air conditioning. If the weather is very hot in the summer, it is not the ideal hotel in such circumstances. To be fair the hotel building is very old. Therefore, installing a modern air conditioning might be unrealistic. Parking is both a challenge and expensive due to the central location and no vehicle access is permitted (except taxis). The hotel is suitable if you arrive in the city by public transport. If you are watching you budge, breakfast is very expensive and can be easily and much more reasonably purchased in the numerous cafes nearby.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Altstadthotel Arch. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always eager to help. My room was not only spotless and beautifully cozy but also perfectly sized for a comfortable stay. This was my second time staying here, and both visits have been nothing short of amazing. Each time, I’ve been completely enchanted by the hotel's magical setting. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for their exceptional kindness and support, I truly felt at home. I wholeheartedly recommend the Altstadthotel Arch to anyone seeking a warm, inviting, and memorable stay!

The hotel is perfectly located in the center of the old city. The hotel has an elevator. The bed is comfy and the room is big enough and clean. We did not have the AC, but, even it was hot outside, the AC was not needed, since the walls of the building are very thick and keep a good temperature (there was a fan in the room, if needed). Our room had a marvelous view of the Haidplaz.

The first day had no shower towels. The reception explained that they had a logistical problem with the provider. We received the towels the next day.

The hotel was in a fantastic location to enjoy Regensburg. We appreciated its centralness to all the sites and with a Christmas Market right outside the front door. The hotel is several buildings connected together with the old timbers weaving through the upper floors. You can feel the historical aspects of the building which are accented by the informational posters throughout the hotel. The complementary water in the room was much appreciated.

It would have been very nice to have a kettle or nespresso machine in the room as it was one of the only hotels we stayed at during our 2 week trip that did not have one or the other.

Good bed, very silent location (facing the inner courtyard). They could however have mounted a slightly better curtain. The extra chairs and table in the room was also a nice touch, it definitively didn't look like they tried to safe costs or offering the bare-minimum. The location was in the middle of the old-town, everything is easy to reach. We didn't take the breakfast, since it was supposed to be 22 per person. There were plenty of bakeries around which could offer a good breakfast for half the price. They kept the old wooden balks while making the room modern, very nice to see it not being covered or replaced :)

The shower was quite small, and the shower-head was mounted in the corner while not being very powerful. Not easy to use that way

Everything was clean, tidy and done professionally. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nothing to complain about!

Excellent location within the centre, a very nice view from our room to the historical square, spacious room and good breakfast. Public parking just a few hundred meters away - if you don't have to unload a heavy luggage, don't even try to drive to the hotel itself...

When we entered the room, the air condition was set to a low value (30+ degrees outside, 18 inside), so it was really chilly. That was easy to fix but they could have spared energy.
