Sandhurst motel is at the front of the Frankston holiday park, now taken over by Igenia Rentals. First impressions are pretty good and all the basics are there, if you don't want a holiday cabin. The bed is quite comfy for a 2 night stay, the room feels spacious because it is sparsely furnished but this surprisingly works as it's neat and uncluttered. The shower is old but has very good hot water pressure, unusual for a budget motel. Well done. They do the simple things well here. Good work.

Tea and coffee facilities are very basic - ie, English breakfast tea is now standard across a lot of budget motels. The toaster needs replacing, it's so old and looks dangerous to plug in. Road noise from Frankston-Dandenong Road may keep you up at night...

Overall experience of staying here was great. Comfortable bedding, linen, spacious rooms & bathrooms.

No water bottles or water taps provided to refill. Only option is to fill up from sink taps which is not ideal. Also there's no staff at the reception, have to call them (number mentioned on booking.com won't work, have to lookout for a message from hotel with their number which was helpful, no issues otherwise). AC wasn't working that well and wifi was poor. Put extensions near room 1-4/office area.

Great accommodation. I needed to stay an extra 2 nights unexpectedly and they were very accommodating of that. Really lovely staff and very clean and comfortable room. Only negative was been woken early in the morning by construction works on the pool, otherwise I would recommend and will definitely stay there in the future.

Nice & quiet, clean, shower was awesome. Aircon was great too. Everything I needed was there.

Was very glad dogs are allowed in our room. Many places don’t have that. The only downfall I found was stepping in dog poop outside my door on the grass. The owner should’ve cleaned it up. Was great having 2 off leash areas for the dogs too. Hopefully next time I’ll take a dip in the pool.

The location was central to what we needed, easy to find, and well appointed for the accommodation type. It was basic, but the beds were comfortable, the room was warm, and the fridge was useful.

There was no full length mirror in the room and no power point near the bed, but not a deal breaker for us. Only other thing was the extraction fan in the bathroom made it really cold when fresh out of the shower!

Good location. No car so bus stop outside good. Local service station handy for light shopping. Shower good, comfortable bed and plenty of room.

Needed full length mirror. Stayed 5 nights more room service needed. No change of sheets during that time or rubbish removal although there were red bins outside.

I liked the location and there was a community house in the caravan park that I could go to and sit in as well. Overall the motel was comfortable and clean and good value for money.

I didn't like that the pool was not able to be used as area was being renovated and lots of tradesmen about.

No in-person reception over the whole weekend (which was made clear on website and by text before arrival). Whilst I had no problem accessing the lock box and picking up the keys - I would have felt more comfortable/confident knowing that there was a person available (other than by phone) if there were any issues/problems (which there weren't)

The room was clean, not the newest but well maintained and extremely happy with the facilities. the shower was awesome and had plenty of hot water. the bed was comfy and the tv had all the digital channels.

having to wait 1/2 an hour to get the key because the person attending the check in counter was off on lunch and the door was locked with a sign on the inside. especially frustrating when you have to specify when booking what time you would be arriving
