We stayed at this hotel for a week, had read the reviews so knew what to expect. Old fashioned (which didnt bother us) but exceptionally clean and cleaners came round every day & replaced the towels. Comfy beds. Peaceful area.

Good selection of buffet breakfast but the hot food was cold everyday at 8.30 when we had ours. As breakfast was 7.30-10 ideally they could do with putting fresh out every hour rather than hot at 7.30 and not keeping it warm.

The hotel itself Is very nice. It has an old aesthetic which makes it very charming. The bar with its wooden details and the fireplaces make a very cozy experience. Everyone is very nice to you and the breakfast is nice! I would go back just for the hotel. It's very charming

Very comfortable,lovely choice of breakfast and actually very quaint and old portugal feel to it,was a little like going back in time but not in an unpleasant way,just has a lovely old feel to it if old portugal is your thing 😀

A little basic in places,the bathroom shower and the bed area could do with some modernisation,ie usb points etc,no tea or coffee facilities,but I'm not sure if this was something that was always on offer in the dining room 🤷

The breakfast has a large selection buffet style. Not sure if the orange juice is fresh but nice. No rushing really calm Hotel.

Can't think of anything but we have been using this Hotel for many years and we wouldn't keep going back if there was much we didnt like.

The hotel is ideally placed in the centre of Arganil. It's not 5 star but the staff were excellent and the room perfectly presented every day. This is a lovely part of Portugal with the mountains close by. I would recommend this hotel.

The perfect place for relaxation and rest. Excellent spacious rooms with all the necessary amenities: comfortable beds, air conditioning, plenty of storage space, and a view of the mountains from the window. The bathroom is nice with a hairdryer. The breakfasts are delicious with fresh fruits and tasty pastries. An excellent choice for a vacation.

Friendly proprietor, I arrived late evening, I was rather stressed by my long journey. He was kind and helpful, and quickly supplied me with a required beer at the bar. The room was very clean and had a great shower. Good selection of food for breakfast. Thank you.

Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The people at the front desk speak English well. The Empregadas maybe a few words (I speak Portuguese fairly well). Free parking right at the hotel. Nice "living room" and a very pleasant porch where I sat to do email etc. Good café/bar across the street. Arganil is a small town and pretty quiet - just as I prefer. On Thursdays don't miss the outdoor market and the grilled chicken lunch.

The only down side was the Internet connection was pretty weak. I have a Portuguese SIM prepago with data so I used my iPhone hotspot at times. This was a general problem as I overheard someone else mentioning it. (The café across the street had good Internet.)

Excellent value per money: very close to the city centre and with good breakfast. They allowed me to keep my bike safe inside.

The room was a little bit cold.

I would say this hotel is more cultural and lovely for a Portugal experience 😊

We liked everything and wanted to book for a 2nd night but they were fully booked
