This was the quietest stay I've ever had at a hotel. There was some expected highway noise outside, but we didn't hear anyone in the hallways, neighbor plumbing, TVs from other rooms, or doors closing. If the parking lot wasn't full, I would have thought we were the only ones there. Mattress was an older style, but very comfortable.

Only 2 room towels, and none at the hot tub (which worked perfectly and was wonderfully warm)

The hotel room was comfortable. The staff in the hotel was amazing. My husband had a bout of heartburn and acid reflux (which he normally doesn't have) and it seemed like everything was closed around our vicinity. The front desk clerk assisted us with getting some milk so that he could finally sleep throughout the night. She was thoughtful and willing to help us in his time of need. The breakfast bar was good. The hotel was right next to Walmart and surrounded with other restaurants to eat.

Unfortunately the hotel is up for auction January 15th (I believe). I was actually worried as we were driving up that the hotel was closed. Thankfully we were able to stay for the night. My husband thought the beds were too hard but that's a matter of preference.

We stayed on two separate nights. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel is easy to get to from the freeway, but if you're coming from the east, follow your GPS directions carefully - it appears you're going the wrong way until the last minute! There are several restaurants within a minute or two walking distance - see my "didn't like" section! This hotel was a recommendation from a friend, and she was right - it's a great place to stay and very reasonably priced.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but the Applebees manager was very rude to us when we walked in to be seated. We ended up walking straight back out and across the parking lot to the Outback, where the service couldn't have been better. Go there!

The suite was actually like a small apartment, and the bedroom was at the far end of the suite, which meant I didn't hear any noise from the hallway. An excellent night's sleep in a very comfortable bed, and a great A/C system (I'm a Colorado girl--I use A/C even in December).

The night receptionist was very nice, but when I called for help on finding the hotel (I was lost), he was unable to give me any directions. I ended up getting help from a complete stranger in a parking lot some miles away.

The hotel was recommended to us by a frend as being comfortable, clean, good value for money, and in a safe area. It was definitely all these things. Nothing fancy, but it really didn't need to be. We were on a trip where we needed a convenient place to stay that wouldn't break the budget. There are plenty of food options right across the parking lot, and an inexpensive gas station for when you get back on the road, so it has all the amenities you would need. It's right off the freeway, so it's easy to access. It also looks like a local place, and not part of a chain, so we were glad that our money was going to a smaller business.

Really, no complaints. For the price point, it would just seem picky to critique much about the stay. The hotel is plain, and the breakfast is fairly simple, but it all fit the bill nicely.

Breakfast was sufficient, not the best food but it was hot and served early. Our favorite part was the hot tub and in particular that it was open late. Too many hotels have a hot tub that is basically worthless because it closes too early for many travelers. Also, there was plenty of room in the back parking lot for our large moving truck pulling a trailer.

Not much to dislike really. I tend to not like carpeted floors in hotels just because they are impossible to actually clean and sanitize, but the floors were clean enough.

Originally, my friend and I were given a room on the second floor. We're "senior citizens," so I asked if there was a first floor possibility. Although the hotel was designated as "fully booked," the young man at the reception desk found a first floor room for us. It was clean and well maintained. The only clue that it had not been completely renovated was the desk chair, which had some taped repairs.

Only that the parking slots on the side of the building had only one space left near the outside entry.

Breakfast was good. Room was clean, spacious and had a balcony. Staff was welcoming. Close to restaurants & Walmart.

No elevator & room was on 2nd floor. Bonus, room had a balcony to enjoy. No ice in the ice machine & No parking available due to Texas Tech Move In Weekend and Ashmore Inn was fully booked. Wanted to make a future reservation with Ashmore Inn and their prices were higher than with online vendors & would not price match.

I like the retro look of the building, the entry, and the lobby. It has a little less of a corporate feel. The room was very clean, comfortable, and supplied toiletries, including hand lotion, tissues, and extra towels. They had a variety of pillows, so I could find one I liked. The pool looked inviting although I didn't have time to use it. It was nice to see that they had a washer and dryer that guests could use. The value for dollar is exceptional!

Breakfast was nothing to write home about.

The service was great!! Very friendly and kind.. helpful and informative.. they were more than willing to help and made me feel as though they were so glad to welcome all customers.. the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good and fresh.. coffee was great! I can’t say enough about the price and the service I will definitely stay there any time I am in Lubbock and recommend it to anyone and everyone

There wasn’t anything bad about my stay whatsoever
