The resort is exceptionally comfortable, and it has all you need for a relaxing work retreat, which was what I needed: i.e. to sleep and work with a sea view. Staff was amazing, and I am very thankful to the Horizon restaurant team as they provided a very warm welcoming experience for me. Beyond the staff, the resort quality is found in the details as the bed linen and towels, quality of the mattress & pillows, and of the hand soap was exceptional (and I am difficult to please on this). Fully digitalised with 24hrs in-room dining you can cast your Netflix into the big room screen and just enjoy. View from the room/balcony is amazing, the sea water is beautiful and warm and the beach is fully equipped – view from the room was relaxingly blue turquoise. If the beach is too windy, which was often the case in the afternoon, you can enjoy the swimming pool as it is more sheltered. Finally, I arrived in Egypt very tired and with a severe back pain so I asked the resort if they had any SPA/massage services. They do and they are totally worth it. Lily just recovered my back, painful but effective. I hope I can come back soon. An added note - this resort is perfect for families with small children as it has a children’s park, a dedicated large swimming pool and the beach is shallow, warm and calm.

The whole area is developing very fast, so the surroundings are a large construction site, in fact all the coastline from Cairo to El Alamein – following the highway is under construction. This means that there is nothing to do or go beyond the resort. If you aim to go around and explore, then you will need a car and knowledge of the area. Also, I suggest anyone that is looking for a quiet retreat to avoid high season (i.e. from June to September) as the resort will be full of people and families, and there are at least 3 entertainment areas that will be fully animated.

The place was fantastic and the view was amazing from the suite . The awesome RANA at the reception upgraded us to 1 bedroom suite and we are so appreciative for that. Was a very quiet since we checked in upon the off season. The food quality and option was alright since it’s off season, however the service team is very good and special thankful gratitude to RAMADAN with his great personality and accommodating, with full dedication to what he does. He went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our meal and stay.

I think the administration needs to focus more on the food quality and options no matter the season. Also, the fact that we have to pay for a bottle of water to be added to the dinner’s charge while having the whole dinner for free (that we paid in advance) it’s very confusing and make the resort looks cheap. I think a drink must be included with dinner since we have purchased a dinners for the whole period that we stayed.

I quite liked the location of the hotel, it is quiet, but located on a beach with sports activities, lots of families. I had booked at the last minute, so chose Rotana, because coming from the UAE, it is a very recognisable and trusted brand. I wasnt disappointed. Right from the time I checked in, the General Manager, Tamer Saleh, was right there with the front desk staff helping and talking to guests. I quite appreciated the hands-on, friendly approach. Wael was in touch with me over Whatsapp, got me an upgrade, informed me of all the transport costs for car rental. Great service. I have to specially mention the polite, friendly and extremely helpful front desk staff, Yousra, Rana and Ahmed (Al Toukhy), the transport in-charge Ahmed and Moustafa (always smiling), the in-house dining guy Youssef. and all the helpful staff in the breakfast area. A special thanks to all of them for making my first trip ever to Egypt so nice. They are many restauants on the main road facing the hotel. The hotel has its own beach and pools, so ideal for families with small children. Thank you Rotana for your great team !

The food can do with some amount of improvement. The croissants were not that well cooked, the hot chocolate too milky despite specifications. Came across too many flies in the hotel.

Staff super helpful - special mention for Yousra at the reception desk for extending late check-out to help with my airport pick up timing. Beautiful beach with various activities and very nice lifeguarding staff. Clean room, modern design and comfortable bedding. Great view on the sea side. Nice food at the hotel and many lounges to relax. Great spa experience too with Hind who performed an amazing deep tissue massage. Facing the hotel entrance, lagoon access with various restaurants and an absolutely stunning sunset view.

Great hospitality,trained staff and amazing rooms

Very loud bad music from the island in front of the hotel. Kids from the island using water activities and jet ski very dangerously. Management need to do something about it, otherwise they will lose their privilege of such an amazing hotel and location

Yousra from Reception has the best customer service EVER, she did an outstanding job making me feel at home since check in to the end of the stay, very professional and I am sure she will have a very bright future in hospitality, and thanks to Mohamed from lobby bar also he is very friendly and polite, the food is very delicious and the beach is very wonderful and the spa there is nice. will definitely come back

We had an amazing time in the hotel, thanks to the restaurant team Mohamed and Mahmoud,The food is incredible also, and the atmosphere is just perfect.
