James, Jasmine and Abel (hope I have spelled your names correctly) were all excellent. Attention to detail was excellent. Went out of their way to help you understand everything. Nothing was too much trouble, especially James, who I had the most interaction with.
The airconditioner was set to cool - but I assume in winter, this would change to Heating. If not, this would be a problem. There were bathrobes in the cupboard, and also an electric blanket on the bed. Another small thing - something to put your clothes on in the bathroom e.g. a small table (I had the disabled room). But this is being very picky as overall, this was excellent accommodation.

I stayed two nights when I was travelling to an artist camp in the Tarkine wilderness. The hotel is surrounded by contemporary art, James spent some time telling me about this collection of work which was very informative. The staff were very helpful & welcoming. I Loved the bath, both rooms were very clean, modern kettle & micro wave & ice cubes in the fridge very unexpected. The second night the room was large, near the lift & very quiet., as a senior person this was great. The first night had city views also with a large modern clean bathroom
Large colonial buildings up keep is difficult. So there is nothing to report here, loved it

Quaint, comfortable hotel in an early 20th century convent building. Our room was large, pleasantly decorated without being flash. James, the receptionist/manager, gave us a very comprehensive run down on things to do and places to eat in Launceston.
The hotel was slightly quirky - eg, bags of linen down the hall, doors that needed to be opened or closed in a particular way. It is about 1.5km from central Launceston and the Alexandra Quay area; not the most interesting walk. It is next door to a primary school, so there can be some playground noise - starting at 7.30 am on our first morning.

I'm a forensic researcher when planning a trip away and I examined all the details of each affordable place to stay in Launceston and found this gem. If you want quiet, clean, comfortable, spacious, convenient, helpful, polite, friendly, respectful and reasonably priced this is your place. Absolutely loved staying here, the view, the bedroom, the bathroom, the parking, the proximity to the nearest awesome cafe, everything was spot on. It was great to sit down in a comfortable chair at the end of the day, ideal to have a great big bath, awesome to have a clean and extremely comfortable bed in peacefulness to sleep through all night. Bliss. Many thanks to the manager for helping out with instructions for so many things. Much appreciated. I'd definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
Can't think of anything to put here at all.

Property is a lovely character building, super close to cataract gorge (walking distance) and close to cbd. We had adjoining rooms - kids in twin singles in a king room with an enormous bathroom and we had a room with a lovely balcony and view. James was really helpful with recommendations etc, above and beyond.
The only slight negative was the balcony room lets in a lot of light through the blinds (compared with the king room which had a heavy curtain over the blinds). I’m guessing this is because of the balcony doors. It wasn’t a major issue for me, would still rather have the balcony room as it was great to sit out on the balcony overlooking the cbd - but it could be an issue for some who would be better off getting one of the other rooms with curtains

Comfortable room, a lovely bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and liked the gowns. Fantastic to have the microwave and a decent sized fridge as stayed for a few nights, and it was nice not to have to eat out all the time. The bath was amazing - a real plus. The room was comfortable, private and had everything you would need. The location was fantastic - very close to the middle of Launceston, with a coffee shop an easy walk away. Fantastic service as well.
I stayed in the middle of winter but the room was very cold to come back to at the end of the day. It was a good excuse for a bath though.

James the manager was extremely welcoming & friendly. Gave a very detailed intro to the hotel and the facilities. He even offered a few suggestions for places to eat. The room was lovely, good size with a beautiful view towards the city centre. I didn't go out on the balcony but there were chairs outside my window so on a warm day it would be lovely sitting out there. I was impressed the room had a microwave, even though I didn't use it, I will certainly keep it in mind for next time I stay. Large selection of items in the minibar, free Netflix. water pressure was great and there was plenty of hot water. There is a cafe very close by that is open for breakfast if needed as there are no breakfast options at the hotel.
Bed was a little firm.

Good location an easy relatively flat walk to city centre or waterfront, cafes and restaurants including Stillwater. Very good sized bathroom with separate shower and bath, good water pressure in shower, soft towels (we didn't use the bath but it looked very relaxing). Room seemed a little stuffy when we arrived, may have been able to open a window (they are sash windows due to age of building) but not a problem as room had air conditioning which we turned on. Good sized flat screen TV.

I traveled to an artist camp in the wilderness & looking forward to a bath, rest & quiet. It was all of those things & more. The micro wave & modern kettle & fridge was unexpected & a bonus. The room had beautiful light & was clean, quiet & a large room & bathroom. Being close to a lift was a bonus. I would stay thereagain
Very good value for my budget. Old buildings take a lot of up keep, so I would say that they are doing a great job. The garden was lovely & well maintained.

We liked the personable interaction. We got shown to our room by a very nice young lady whom ran us through a few things. It was clean with a very comfy bed and very nice bathroom. It was also very quiet in May.
Not much. A few very minor things such as a few cobwebs in the corner of, I would say 12 foot ceilings. Just a cobweb brush would sort that out. Both the door to the room and bathroom door had bad squeaks which potentially could annoy other guests. Maybe some WD40 sprayed on would help. I say this in all reviews, when wine glasses and coffee cups are provided there should always be a tea towel to dry your crockery, but for some strange reason no one ever provides one.
