Hotel Templo Mayor was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The shower was hot and had great pressure. The beds were comfortable and the fan was really quiet but good. There were big windows great for people watching. The location was great too!

There was never a hand towel for the bathroom, and not enough toilet paper for four people, we had to keep asking for an extra roll. The TV didn't work!

The hotel is in the middle of the historic area, so busy with people, shops, traffic. The location is fantastic - a stroll away from the Templo Mayor excavations and museum, and the Zocalo. The hotel is an oasis of quiet and calm, very well organised, and Reception was permanently manned. The street outside our.rooms was pedestrianized, so there was no noise at night. We felt safe and that our stuff was secure. The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooms were minimalist, but comfortable and clean, with water provided every day. Coffee and some drinks were available at Reception. The roof terrace was a delight. Excellent value.

Maybe a bedside light could be provided.

We returned to HTM at the end of our trip around Mexico, because we knew it was well-run, clean, secure, quiet, comfortable. The location is superb - near the Zocalo, and the Zocalo metro (for trips to Xochimilco), and the Abelardo market for fruit and vegetables. We ate our fruit and veg on the lovely roof terrace. The streets nearby are busy, chaotic and, walking back at night we experienced the odd drunk shouting at the gringos, but one of the streets is pedestrianised, so the rooms are quiet. The rooms are on 3 floors around a central space, but there was no noise at night from other residents. We could get coffee (instant with powdered milk) from Reception for $20, and they serve tequila and other spirits. Alvaro was very helpful and attentive, as were all the staff. The cleaners are always visible, changing rooms, mopping floors and emptying bins. The place was spotless.

Everything was fine.

My one-night stay at this hotel in Mexico City was pleasant and comfortable. The location was fairly convenient for exploring the area, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was impeccably clean and neat, featuring a private bathroom and a TV. A lovely traditional touch was the use of Mexican tiles in the bathroom, adding character and charm to the space.

While the hotel met most of my expectations, it could benefit from a few modern updates, such as additional charging ports for devices. Overall, it was a delightful and cozy stay, and I would recommend it for short visits.

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The place was very clean, the room with spotless. Please remember to tip the cleaners who clean your room. They really worked hard! The location was close to the Zocalo easy walking distance to the central historic area.

The area was a little seedy. It’s right in the middle of a very busy market during the day. It’s too noisy to take any kind of nap. At night I wouldn’t want to walk east of here at all. Did not look safe. Walking in the direction of the Zocalo was ok at night, but around 8:00 pm they gated off that area around Templo Mayor so it was difficult (scary for female travelers in my opinion) to walk home at night. There were no little restaurants and only on teeny little stores to buy any food (chips and soda mainly) close to this hotel. I would try moving west of here, closer to the Zocalo, next time.

Rosie and all the staff were very kind. My daughter had medicine, and they kept it in their fridge. They checked us in and let us leave our luggage so that we could start on our adventures early! Having 2 restrooms was perfect! My daughter loved the kids' room. The tile in the restrooms was cute. They came in and cleaned the room daily.

Excellent location, courteous and helpful staff, clean room, elevator, nice rooftop patio. 24 hour front desk was great because my flight got delayed. Roomy bathroom with a decent size shower with plenty of hot water.

Bed was a bit too firm and the room was a bit stuffy without AC in winter. I can imagine it being really hot in summer.

This was our second stay. Overall, it is a well-run, great simple place. Check-in went really well, the room was clean (except for one dead bug in the sheets which I suspect came from the laundry service and not the hotel itself) and it's always the same great location close to everything.

The central yard echoes through the entire hotel and it can be loud at night. We had a group that showed up at 4 in the morning and it looks like the staff didn't ask them (or was not able to make them) to keep it down. The friendliness of the front office varies depending on who is working at any time. I am glad we were welcome by this sweet lady we met on our first stay.

surprisingly quiet for the location and the busy streets right outside with the markets!

the room was very minimally furnished. we missed some table lamps / bed lamps and minimal things like drinking glasses or hairdryer to make the stay a bit more comfortable. otherwise very good stay.
