I am just overwhelmed with this accommodation. I wasn't planning for anything special. But this place ,it's so special, so stunning, the house, the history of this place. This place is actually a diamond. Imperfections are perfection in this place . It's like stepping into history . This place can talk to you, the walls, the structure, every little detail it's so special. It was a brilliant opportunity for me to make my friends stay in England so special. Special thank you to the host of the house, She was so lovely and welcome and helpful . Just wauu....A+++++I definitely would recommend this place to anyone, and I definitely would like to come back.

The location was a beautiful surprise. just a few minutes walk from the station, on the stunning green, with a pub a minutes walk away serving great food in the evening, it was wonderful The host Alicia is so knowledgable about the house she has lovingly transformed to welcome guests, but she is also a great cook, the breakfast was enough to set us up for the rest of the day. We thought we were getting a room, but we got half a cottage! We would love to come back when we have more time.

Everything, amazing host, amazing house, amazing facilities,amazing breakfast - we can't wait to visit again. Alicia made us feel so welcome, we had the perfect night away to celebrate our anniversary. We popped to the plough pub for dinner then back to the jasmine room for a cosy movie night. Alicia went over and above to make our stay special and the breakfast was absolutely amazing. We cannot wait to return and may bring the children with us next time. Highly recommend and we had the best nights sleep in the comfy bed- everything was perfect 💗

An outstanding place to stay. Snug, spotless and inviting. Beautifully decorated to a high standard. The bathroom is spacious with an amazing jacuzzi bath and impressively large walk-in shower. The lounge area was cozy and comfortable and the bedroom was warm and inviting. Breakfast was superb.

There was not really any dislikes. If I had to be really picky I would say that the TV in the lounge could do with being a little larger but that is just my personal choice.

The B&B is not only owner run but it is a lovely family business. It is located in a quiet and quaint North Essex village overlooking a community cricket ground. With excellent local amenities. The breakfast is beautifully prepared by hand and cooked to order with an exceptional range with economical benefits as most items including the table sauces are made and sourced from local farmers and businesses. Alicia (owner) was so pleasant giving us a tour of the cottage, ensuring at every moment that our stay was perfect. Not hard to see why this place has the rating it does.

We love everything about this lovely ‘Bed and Breakfast’. Our host, Alicia, made our stay exceptional. Her breakfasts were amazing - beautifully prepared and using the best of ingredients! And what a joy being able to stay in her home, a pretty cottage retaining many of the original features. Thank you, Alicia! We hope to return.

Was a picturesque little cottage perfectly placed to be in and amongst the village of Great Bentley. Really enjoyed our time and the hosts were fantastic at making us feel warmly welcomed and well looked after. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely superb - lots of choice and variety! Would very much recommend if you ever need somewhere to stay in Great Bentley

Alicia the host was very welcoming. She couldn’t do enough for us to make our stay perfect. The cottage was extremely clean and homely with lots of little nice touches. The breakfast was amazing, fresh, local products and cooked to perfection. The location was spot on. I would highly recommend staying here and we will be returning for sure.

The whole place and the hostess with the mostess lol, Brilliant food, very yummy and plentiful, Breakfast also was amazing, Facilities was great, lovely dining/living area, bathroom with wet room and a jacuzzi bath, and a wonky staircase so be careful that leads to a comfy bed! We shall definitely return, there is a great Green area out the front for a nice dog walk, a very close pub near by, great place ...

Alicia is just an amazing hostess, she gave us clear instructions for everything, a wonderful reception and breakfast was just fabulous. The cottage is very quaint, cosy, clean, and the jacuzzi works perfectly! They have managed to combine perfectly the character of an old building with modern facilities. Would definitely return. Thanks Alicia for all the birthday touches you left for us.
