The property was in a good location and easy to find. The room was beautiful and clean.

The breakfast was a disappointment. There was no cereal and you could only order from the main breakfast menu and were only allowed one drink so either a hot drink or fruit juice but not both as one would normally expect. No toast and marmalade available unless you paid extra.

We stayed 2 nights at The Bell Inn, Thorpe Le Soken. It was in the perfect location for the Wedding we were attending. It has parking opposite. The staff are friendly and made us feel very welcome. Although we didn’t eat in the restaurant, there was a good menu and was busy. There are tables and seating outside overlooking the church at the back. The weather was really warm so we had breakfast outside which was excellent. The bedrooms are very clean with comfortable beds & linen. We had a great weekend.

Just back from a 3 night stay, what an amazing hotel. Our room beautiful, clean and quiet, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was out of this world (can't stop talking about it), we were lucky enough to have an evening meal on our last night and were not disappointed some of the best food we have had, can definitely tell the chef loves there job and is truly talented. (We would definitely recommend to try if in the area). Also have to make a special mention to manager Tracey she was lovely and truly made us feel welcome, but to be honest every single staff member was lovely and could not do enough for us. Thank you so much for such a lovely, relaxing stay and some unforgettable food. We will definitely be back when visiting friends.

Rooms (3 booked) were of a good standard... comfortable and reasonably warm. Bathroom in our room had been refurbished... really "nice" but please see comments below. Breakfast was great ...seven of us sat down..with many different choices...all delivered hot and consumed with enthusiasm!

Some minor mis communication re need for couch to be made up in family room...but resolved by housekeeper at 11pm ( when family returned from wedding)...well done...Thank you Two minor issues in our room... reluctant to criticise as overall experience was good...glass light shade broken... broken pieces were (in fitting)...and couldn't get shower to work properly...not suggesting instructions need to be issued...but having been fortunate enough to have experienced similar facilities elsewhere...My wife and I were beaten by this one! Staff next morning suggested we should have sought help.. however was not prepared to go to reception...in a state of undress! 😕

Choice was very good

You could only choose one item off the breakfast menu. Any more you had to pay. The restaurant was open to public so had costs attached but I wanted just granola and my husband had a cooked breakfast. Perhaps it would be better to allocate an amount of money to guests for their breakfast then extras paid for? Just a suggestion?

Staff at the Bell Inn were very welcoming and friendly, very nice room William Gull (Jack The Ripper) room. The mini fridge and nice teabags were appreciated thank you. Parking is opposite the pub and a good size carpark. We ate dinner there too, the homemade chips are yummy.

The tower fan was very noisy at night, the shower water pressure wasn’t high, though a lovely bathroom.

Staff and breakfast were both excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.

WiFi was non existent in our room even though we were given 3 alternative networks to join. Stair carpet leading to rooms was stained in many places and needed a thorough cleaning. Fixtures in bathroom needed some attention. Toilet roll holder not securely fixed to wall. Hand towel fixture needed Allen key to secure it. Room was extremely hot even with tower fan in use.

A proper old fashioned English Inn with the quirky un-levelled floors on top level and wooden beams to boot . Staff were very attentive and helpful . Only complaints would be the noise at night as there was a wedding going on in the inn plus clean up till early hours of morning right below our room .Breakfast was excellent and a nice range of options . Shower a bit temperamental but managed to get it going in the end . Overall very good value for money .

The property is situated in a beautiful little village, the room and the premises were spotless clean. The staff were polite professional and friendly, they couldn’t do more for you.

Nothing, i would say property is not suitable for people with mobility issues, stairs and even floors. But none of this distracts from the beauty of the property.

Our room was beautiful, incredibly clean and had every facility you could have wanted, even a mini fridge with a large bottle of water and a fan for the warm weather. Filled with rich history overlooking a beautiful church. The staff were exceptional, we cannot wait to visit again.

Would have preferred a cotton fitted sheet on the bed, due to the warm weather, it was a little uncomfortable. It would have been fine during winter.
