Room very good, clean and as per normal.

Breakfast a big disappointment. Ordered a classic breakfast, 2 x sausages under cooked and very poor quality. No grilled tomato as per description and no black pudding as per description. Coffee machine not working again!

My wife and I had the continental breakfast which was croissant, toast, cereals, tea, coffee. fruit juice all diy, so as much as you like. All very good and plentiful. Maybe a slice of ham or cheese to go with the croisant would have been nice, but it was a very good price, and I enjoyed it. some of our party had the full English, and were very happy with it! The evening meal was good, and ready quickly, and the bar was well stocked complete with Hobgoblin on tap. The Marstons Pedigree had unfortunately run out.

Only the Marstons Pedigree running out, it's a favourite of mine, but that's a minor problem, I certainly didn't risk going thirsty.

The greating was excellent the service was even better room was excellent. But when we went for breakfast in the morning absolutely shocking service the lady was more concerned about her phone the chief told her the food was ready by the time we got it it was warm and barley

Comfy beds, made into singles as requested. Good temperature in the room. Plenty of hot water & soft towels. Lots of free parking. Breakfast plentiful & area lovely & clean (toilets very clean!) Staff couldn't have been more welcoming & helpful. Would definitely recommend

Breakfast on the whole was great, food was hot and they offered to swap black pudding for a sausage for my son without him even asking. We ordered avocado on toast, however this was spread like butter rather than mashed avocado as expected. We didn't feel the need to say anything at the time as everything else was perfect and this was a minor issue

Food in Smugglers Cove - bloody awful. Hunters chicken dry with a sticky nondescript sauce,2 onion rings,some very limp rocket lettuce. Chips were OK. Lass that took our order was lovely but the food rates as the worst l have had. Tasted like yesterday's warmed in the microwave. Didn't complain at the time,seemed a waste of time & you already had my payment.Never again!

I have stayed here many times before & it's always been great but this occasion was an exceptionally positive visit. We booked an extra night due to an emergency visit. The staff were just so kind beyond words and they made the most difficult time in our lives easy. As usual the beds were so comfortable and the room was warm, clean & secure. We were lucky enough to have the restaurant available (before closing for a refurb) and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast with plenty of choice. It was good to see it so busy. Thank you to your great team there 👏 👍

Location was great as we were only 5 minutes away from my son who we had gone to visit. There's an M & S, McDonalds and Tesco all within walking distance although crossing the road on a roundabout isn't the easiest, probably better to take the car.

The hotel is under refurb which we were not warned about. The entire place reeked of paint. Reception was over the carpark in the pub, luckily it wasn't busy when we arrived on Thursday but I imagine anyone arriving on Saturday would have had a wait to get their room key. Its only temporary though as reception will be back in the hotel once the refurb is completed.

Room provided adequate accomadtion for my disabled husband - staff were helpful when we had difficulty lowering the seat in the shower

We booked breakfast next day , however , a breakfast with Santa took place the same day , no quite place was found for guests staying at the hotel , we waited an hour for our food , & the coffee machine was not working . We had dinner in the restaurant the night before , wevhad to ask for our desert & was unable to have any coffee to round off our meal ( we had the same experience on a previous Occassion when ordering a meal )

We have been coming to your hotel and it’s is our 3 or 4th time staying and we just wanted to a break away from home and we loved as the bed is so comfy and clean and we both can relax it’s a shame it’s one night as we have been searching for 2 nights stay like come on sat till Monday but we find it’s expensive as we have not been coming to the pub so we just go to sea front and get food out and enjoy ourselves but will come back definitely

Well I was puzzled when we try to walk in the hotel and the door was locked and have pressed button some lady came out and asked what the problem and I said we booked with you and she replied oh told us to go to the pub and there a reception there but when I went there I feel uncomfortable as literally walk pass the bar and people eating while we checked in which I was bit off they said you taken over now so other than that we have enjoyed our stay dont get me wrong !

Have stayed before and wasn't disappointed with the cleanliness of the room but had a rip in the duvet when turned back and a toilet seat that would not stay fixed on. Reported both and the duvet cover was replaced immediately but the toilet seat remained broken.

Sadly the Smugglers restaurant and breakfast has deteriorated badly the breakfast area is left untidy and the cups have to be sorted through to find a clean one. Workmen who sleep over are allowed to use foul language at breakfast when couples and families are in the same area. We tried the Carvery on the Friday evening and although the meats were fine everything else was left overs only the peas were freshly cooked and when asked for fresh cauliflower cheese the server was agitated and rude saying what's the matter with this. I assume he meant the two prices of sticky grey mess in the dish. Absolute rubbish.
