Lots of extras were available in the room. It had it's own air cooler, and small fridge. Coffee and tea facilities were plentiful with biscuits, lots of refills and everything you need. It was super clean with a bath. The bed was brilliantly comfy, freshly washed linen and amazing plumped pillows. Staff were super friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful flowers at the front of the property welcomed you. The breakfast was efficient, plentiful and the fruit portions were very generous with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and peaches. The full cooked breakfast was delicious and my partner really enjoyed the scrambled eggs. The owner Carol even helped to ring us a taxi when others were not available. Loved all of the staff and you can tell they loved working there. Great place! If we come back to the area, we only want to stay here - all aspects were perfect. Thanks ever so much.

The most warm welkom with great sense of humor! The owners are such lovely people, you feel right at home! Special notification for the rooms: this is absolutely highest standard with attention to detail: perfect pillow, high quality cotton satin woven sheets, separate washcloths, special eye make-up remove cloth, lovely cookies and chocolate at the tea cabin, thick curtains, etc etc. From all my hotel visits, this would be an excellent example for others. I missed the breakfast due to early leave, but also this was being taken care of. Warmest regards

Carole, her husband, and staff are so friendly and happy to help and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our lovely heart to heart conversations were great, and I felt at home. My dog Stella was very happy too and very popular! The food was delicious, and the bed was comfortable and the street quiet considering it's close to lots of shops. I slept really well. The distance to the beach was perfect, too. I would definitely recommend you stay here. It's down to earth, relaxing, and I'm looking forward to staying again with my dog. Thank you again, I'm very happy indeed.

We love this place, 5th visit and its still a favourite. Breakfast is great, with numerous options. Gluten free bread and sausages available. Hosts are lovely. Room is very clean, everything you could need. Bed is very comfortable. I love that they still have traditional things for you to use, a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, little glasses in the bathroom. Bottles of water either side of the bed, which is restocked each morning. Good selection of teas, coffees, hot chocolate etc. Biscuits and a chocolate bar. And location is fantastic, a 2min walk to the beach, amusements or town.

Nothing. We wouldn't keep coming back if there was something we didnt like. I think the only suggestion I could make, is that alongside the little pots of milk in the room, it would of been nice to have seen an alternative (oat/soya) maybe. But I really have no criticisms, and look forward to coming back very very soon.

On arrival we were greeted by the friendly owners. We had arrived earlier that the expected check in time so we were grateful to be able to park the car and go for a walk before checking in a bit later. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was lovely and we left feeling very satisfied. We would visit again.

It seemed odd that the shower in our room was over the middle of the bath rather than over the taps at the end, but for the one night, it was manageable. The shower it's self was lovely l, water pressure and temperature perfect.

We took a family trip to celebrate my son's 7th birthday. 10 of us in the group and all very happy with our rooms. Carol was very welcoming and helpful, especially when I forgot plates and a knife to cut the cake in the lounge :) A lovely breakfast cooked by Peter and lots of fresh fruit and juice available. The location was perfect, 2 mins walk to the pier. My son said it was his best birthday ever and enjoyed his own space in our family room. Very clean and beds cosy.

Right from checking in with Carol, we were warmly welcomed and well treated by everyone that we met. The room (Family Room 10) was clean, comfortable & warm, with all facilities that we could want provided. We slept exceptionally well and were treated to an exceptional breakfast in the morning...and........we were offered muffins to take on our journey. We went shopping prior to checking out, and leaving the car on the forecourt was no problem so we didn't have to look for parking. A great stay and we'll definitely be staying at the Chudleigh again if we are in Clacton again

We can not not complain as what we were charged gave great value for money. Keep up the great work Carol, we loved the stay.

Everything about this hotel was spot on! The staff were friendly and chatty, we was made to feel at home, the room we had was probably the most comfortable hotel room we have ever been in, it was clean, cosy and a lovely comfortable size, breakfast was a range of choices, cereals, fruits, full english, the range of jams for our toast was amazing, the cost of the room and breakfast was very much worth every penny we paid, this hotel needs an upgrade from 4 stars to 5 stars, we was quite sad to have to leave, but we will definitely be booking to come back here again.

Lovely homely setting, staff and owners very welcoming and professional. Room was so comfortable and fantastically maintained. Breakfast was set up wonderfully, the food was very tasty, lots to choose from and again fantastic friendly service. The attention to detail in the room was great. Very close to the seafront, chip shop, bars, town centre but far enough away so it isn't noisy. Thank-you Carol and your husband for making me feel very welcome. I will see you again soon as I most certainly will be staying here each time I visit.

The WiFi didn't work but it was not a problem. It was nice to have a break from the Internet 🙃

Excellent choices at breakfast served by very friendly staff. Lot's of extra touches in the room tea coffee etc biscuits, chocolate,shower gels and shampoo, bottled water in room when we arrived and replaced the next day.There were items such as mending kits and shoeshine kits (very useful as needed for my husbands shoes as a last minute change of mind no time to clean before we left home) All staff were very friendly. Rooms very clean. Free car parking. Great value.
