The property is located off the beaten track, in the midst of nature. It’s GORGEOUS! When we enterthe gates , down the country path, we were greeted by cute, little, wild rabbits. Hopping about everywhere. As we got a little further along, a family of geese stopped us in our tracks(literally) it was wonderful to see the mum and dad leading their five youngsters on a waddle ! We pulled up at our lodge and to our surprise, it was beautifully finished. With an amazing bath and shower! Spotlessly clean throughout , well equipped with everything we needed. We had the brief, pleasure of meeting the owners and their lovely family. We also met, the dog’s, goat’s ( Gem & Betsy x) Cockerel, hen’s, chicks……. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🤣🤣🥰🥰The host’s are a lovely family offering help at anytime but not invading our space. They have created a beautiful little spot next to a fabulous fishing lake. Lovely area for walks. We drove in to Clacton, which is about 25 mins drive. It was a beautiful day so we sat on the gorgeous, sandy,beach. In the evening, we sat outside our lodge looking up at the stars, in almost total silence, apart from the animals x Well done guy’s 👏👏👏👏👏 you have totally got it right!!! Thanks for a wonderful stay. The lodge is beautiful and exceptionally clean. The bed was so comfortable. Very modern and great to have a tv. I couldn’t find a hook to hang any coats/wet towels though but such a minor point.

I think it should be sign posted better. There is a tiny sign pointing down to the lodges and if you arrive when it’s dark you would never see it. Maybe the access point is shared land but if not, you definitely need better signage for the lodges, thanks

I didn't like that the contact number given wasn't answered on the two occasions I needed to use it the Mile and half access road is not suitable for low profile car tyres consequently I had to change my car over to my pickup truck I did see a big pile of gravel so I'm sure this is rectified a few times a year

Very clean and spacious room, lovely shower. Amazing views and a great location. Good communication by the host, no issues on check-in. Didn't use the milk but very much appreciated!

Got there at night and initially missed the turning to the holiday lodges off the main track, maybe needs a slightly more obvious sign or two? Not a big issue to be honest - just didn't want to end up where were were not supposed to.

Beautifully appointed lodge which was very comfortable

Having to stop the car to open and then close the main gates on entry and exit. I was back before it went dark, but I wouldn’t have been happy in the dark as it is quite isolated. The track that then leads to the lodges had a number of potholes which I could avoid, but again could have been a problem in the dark.

The studio was clean, nicely decorated and very well appointed with everything required for a longer stay (equipped kitchenette, dining table, sofa, outdoor seating). The location was very peaceful (just chickens and goats for company!) and offered great walks / fresh air.

The trade off for the location was absolutely no phone signal (we're with EE) and needed to liaise with family we were visiting locally. There is also a long potholed road to access the studio.

The property was extremely homely, clean and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. We also loved the animals, the land and views were beautiful and the peacefulness of the area.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property. If anything a heated lamp outside and an extra blanket would be a great addition but doesn’t change the amazing stay we had.

This holiday lodge is beautifully situated on private farm land, the area was quiet and beautiful surrounded by greenery, sunflower fields and animals. The lodge itself had visits from the owners chickens and pygmy goat Betty- she was so calm and friendly and loved a roam around the lodge. The place was so clean, modern facilities, great shower pressure. The bottle of proseco on arrival was greatly appreciated and the self check in made it so easy and we could come and go as we pleased. Would definitely return, nothing to fault. Must be a driver to get to accommodation. Also dosent have WiFi but no problem for us.

Lovely room with everything you need. Shower is powerful and the bath is nice and deep. We enjoyed meeting the goats and the owner is very friendly, felt we could ask for help had we needed it. The location is very peaceful and was easy to find. It is down a track which is a little rough in places but this is to be expected for the location, it wasn't an issue for us. Prosecco and chocolate was an unexpected bonus.

My elderly mother-in-law stayed here over Christmas as the house we were staying in locally was not suitable for her due to some mobility issues. It was just perfect for her and there was even a Christmas tree which delighted her. There is everything you could need in a beautiful, peaceful location.
