The room was neat, clean and tidy with plenty of tea and coffee to drink and a fine shower. My bed was fairly robust and firm with comfy pillows and the nights were spent in relative serenity. English breakfast was hot, tasty and plentiful, washed down with lashings of tea and juice. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful and made me feel all fuzzy and welcome :)

A chair in the room would have been nice instead of a pouffé, but the room was on the rather small side to be fair. The bed was also on the small side lengthwise, so I did find my feet pendulously dangling off the end of it from time to time. Curiously, the water closet had exiled its loo brush!

The staff from the moment we walked in were fantastic, they were so welcoming and informative, and willing to answer any questions we had. The bar service was great and the dining experience was amazing. The food was super delicious, Sunday lunch is a must. We personally would like to that Jack, and Josh for the amazing service they provided. The location was perfect for us we slept really well, it was far enough away from the main attractions that it was quiet, We will be recommending this to others and can’t wait to return

Loved everything

We have stayed there many times. This time, we took dinner there, and quite honestly, it was exceptional, as well a being very good value for money. The quality of the food was super, and there was plenty of choice. The service was exceptional - friendly, attentive and we were just made to feel very comfortable and very welcome. As a result, it was a smashing evening. - look, £100 for an a la carte meal for 2, plus (v good) cocktails, plus bottle of wine - has to be good value. Also, and I know I take this for granted, the situation of the hotel - right on the seafront - is wonderful and we were treated to a superb sunrise this morning,

There was a knob missing on the shower fitting which made it difficult to turn on and off. I think they should spot things like that; I couldn’t be bothered to complain.

horrible weather outside - wasn't able to make a coastal walk in the morning. the breakfast food wasn't in my opinion not warm enough. Neither was the coffee. I used the EV POD POINT charger for the first time. Although I confirmed charging session through the app with enough balance the charger stopped several times after 7 minutes. So after every 7 minutes I had to unplug and plug in again ... was a bit frustrating. but i managed to get the required juice at the end. Will use the charger again in March during my 2nd visit....will see if the process improved.

Well the room was amazing maybe not the best view but we did have small room like for the mom and son ;) it was really amazing staff ,downstairs restaurant was amazing food was good not much vegetarian option but definitely you can eat some good fish .

The room was above I think kitchen and there was all the time some noice from the ventilator and the window to the parking lot didn’t have any veils than don’t really walk in your lingerie without putting curtains down .

Very comfy room and great large comfortable double bed. Great view of sea and Clacton Pier - double aspect / corner room. Very clean and tidy. Very quiet. Great bar and outdoor seating area. Had BBQ and external bar runninng for the airshow weekend. Brilliant. Restaurant and menu was very good, with waiting staff and management very helpful and friendly. Had external secure gatage to store bikes is for you - very useful. Large car park to rear of hotel - parking included in cost. Second visit and would deinately visit again. Thank you.

No complaints. Staff always available if you need anything. Not aware of anyone else having any issues.

we were attending a family funeral - so being most of us being there in 1 hotel was really helpful. the post funeral wake was in this hotel so that made it very convenient

the staff were friendly, but there were occasions where they were under pressure, more staff needed. an there were occasions where they wiped down parts of a table, when it would have been appropriate to clean the full table. The main disappointment has that we were unable to book dinner in the hotel at any stage, but this did afford us the opportunity to explore other establishments in the Clacton area

Due to confusion over check in time - we were told 4pm when it is 2pm the restaurant manager gave us a complimentary breakfast which was much appreciated.

We really wanted an 11am check in on 19th but when I called we were told check in 4pm and couldn’t guarantee earlier even if I paid the £10 per hour early check in as stated. So I booked the previous night as essential we were in our room by midday latest. A little flexibility would have been good.

We liked our room is was clean, fresh and just right for us both. Breakfast was so nice and tasty loved the porridge with honey and we had an amazing dinner, I had the pork and my best friend had the chicken and they had so much flavour. We were served by a lovely waiter, we're definitely going to be coming back for a visit. Everyone was so lovely there and we had a laugh too. Thank you.

We didn't see or find anything that we didn't like at the hotel everything was lovely and welcoming we really had a good time.

The food was nice although slow. Plus I asked what pastry the pie was as I can't eat short crust and was told it wasn't, but it was so I had to.leave it but the rest was lovely

Service was slow and they took things away before we had finished. My cousin asked for soft boiled eggs but they were hard and no egg cup was given My room was small and not very comfortable but I appreciate you can't please everyone . I had no towels in my room or a spoon to make tea or coffee and I struggled with the shower.i will ask for a bigger room next time. The staff were lovely though I also had no literature in my room about WiFi or facilities available
