It was clean appealing to look at both inside and out. The reception bar and restaurant and housekeeping staff were efficient and all went the extra mile for us. Convenient for car parking and taxis etc close to amenities local shops etc. All in all I would come back as a first choice budget hotel going forwards.

I felt the breakfast staff were slightly short on staff and at times there were short waits for replenishments. They kept smiling and never stopped working. So the restaurant although every table was full ran extremely efficiently. All down to the staff. I have worked in the industry for over 40 years as a Hotel Accountant and a regional Financial Controller across many brands and had numerous and often stays in hotels in the UK and worldwide and have to stay this rates as one of the best budget hotels I have ever stayed in.

Room was excellent and clean, breakfast was best I've found in years, parking next door was super convenient. Truly, if all Holday Inn's were like this, I would definitely seek them out! Other facilities should look at this operation and emulate it.

Nothing. It exceeded my expectations. I was on a 37 day motorcycle trip from Scotland to Morocco. I booked 30 hotels/Riad's in advance and this was the most surprising. Yes, there were nice places (really cheap) in Morocco. But I never expected a Holiday Inn to be this nice. Well done! I was requested to rate ALL of my 30 stays, but this is the only one I'm responding to because the facility deserves it.

Location right next to armouries, quite a walk to shopping centre area but this area is lovely, small selection of shops and cafes nearby and a pizza express for meal if not wanting to travel far. Nice bar area in hotel, parking is in multistorey right behind hotel. Water taxi runs in summer months for £3 pp each way which was a nice alternative to regular taxi. Area is surrounded by high rise flats and the river nearby and was quiet.

Would have been too far to walk to shopping area and back for us after shopping all day. Would take 20- 30 mins I would say if a fast walker.

When we came to check in we were informed that there was a global technical issue with the computers so there would be a delay. Whilst this was a tiny inconvenience and was soon rectified, we received a free drink token for the bar. The lady that was on reception at the time ( forgive me I didn't catch her name but found have been Lauren/ Laura) kept her cool as there were a few guests that were waiting. Professional and very apologetic! The hotel was very well situated for our little getaway . The rooms and hotel were spotless. The only thing I couldn't give it a 10 for was the bed, wow, it was hard. Could have done with a mattress topper , but that's my personal preference. Although not a great night's sleep due to this, I would highly recommend.

Comfortable bed, good bathroom and shower, good breakfast, excellent location

Very poor lighting in the room. Hotel designers need to understand that the room is not just used for sleeping, it is also used for working and getting ready. The lights were all along one wall. The rest of the room was extremely dim. There was no light even remotely close to the only mirror outside of the bathroom. There were no cupboards or drawers, only a small hanging locker. We were forced to keep the majority of our clothes in the suitcase for the duration of our stay.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and comfortable sofa bed. Very comfortable, quiet nights, sleep. Lots of choice for breakfast and hot food. Excellent location for Leeds Centre. Parking directly next door to the hotel. The black guy who met us at reception (sorry didn't catch your name) was friendly and welcoming (checked in Sat 15th March pm) . I also observed how accommodating he was to other guests. An asset to the team. Thank you.

Evening meal didn't start at the time specified, and we were told we'd have to wait, but they weren't sure how long. We ended up getting a takeaway but would have preferred to dine in the hotel. A miserable female staff member didn't crack a smile, served us in the bar too, and was equally as miserable there.

Cooked breakfast was always hot normally buffet breakfast tend to be warm or even cold in hotels even in a premier Inn I have stayed in. I was very impressed. Plenty of food available and good choice of cereals. The hotel also took cash at the bar which was great for me. I was happy to pay for my room by card bt for odd things like drinks during my stay I prefer to use cash. The staff all very really welcoming and professional. Well done, Holiday Inn Express this my first stay at your hotel.

The coffee at breakfast wasn't hot enough and I had to top it up with hot water. I found the lighting in the room Ok but not for putting on makeup. It would have been nice to have a mirror by the seating area. These points however are very minor.

The staff were friendly and there was always someone at the reception. The ability to order some kind of food (toasties) even at late hours is very useful. The bar and the reception area is nicely decorated. The breakfast had good variety but some more fruit options would have been nice. The location of the hotel was go

No free parking. Having to pay for every day and remember to register to get a discount is a weird concept. I felt the room should have had some more storage area ( a small wardrobe).

We always stay here this time of year. It has carpark next door which is very hand and a reduction in cost due to staying at the hotel. The hotel is far enough from the city centre to be out of the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk in. The breakfast is exceptional and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

I’m not sure you can do anything better than what you are already doing. We stayed 2 nights so maybe a refreshment of tea and coffee in the room would be nice as the cleaners came in to replace toilet roll and make the bed but didn’t replenish the coffee not a problem tho as the reception gave us some.

The hotel staff is very kind and helpful. There was a small problem with the booking when checking in, but it was solved quickly and efficiently. The hotel is relatively new. The spacious lobby with bar and breakfast area gives a pleasant feeling. The room itself was spacious and comfortable with good and pleasant lighting. Toilet and bathroom can be separated by a door, which I really appreciate. Breakfast, which starts early, was included in the room rate. It is a buffet breakfast with a lot of choice. The hotel offers the option to take food and drinks from the breakfast buffet with you in case you need a lunch box or are in a hurry. My wife was not feeling well on the morning of check-out. The reception allowed a late check-out at no extra charge. The hotel is located in the old docks and industrial district that is currently being redeveloped. That alone makes the area interesting. The district is full of new residential buildings, renovated buildings, offices, cafes, restaurants, a supermarket and the Royal Armory Museum. The location is a bit outside the center, but you can reach the central bus station and the market in 15-18 minutes on foot. Alternatively, you can take the water taxi from very close to the hotel, which connects to the city centre and Leeds train station (operating hours between 10am and 6pm).

Nothing really very serious which would ruin our pleasant stay. There was a large stain on the relatively new sofa. The room cleaning forgot to take away the dirty towels from the ground. At the moment the public bus service is not very efficient in the area.
