Marriot location was great if you want to hit the slopes. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. And the staff is super friendly and nice. They were very helpful.

The only issue we had was the hot tub didn't get that hot and the jets wasn't working but other than that it was great.

Superb location right next to the cable car up the mountain to the ski resort, the hotel is like a square block and has shops, bars, restaurants, Starbucks all connected to it on the lower level and access from the pool area. Great size room and have to mention the laundry services, 1st time I've (the man lol) done a washing on holiday, on our floor 2 commercial washing machines and 2 commercial dryers all free, as we were on a motor biking holiday for 2 weeks there was the risk of a pong from our luggage I did a wash, stuck in the machine set for 45 mins and went for a beer, went back removed and stuck in the drier for 40 mins went back and had another beer, returned and stuck in our room 3 doors away, job done lol

Only possible gripe was we arrived early and while we got entry to our room our friends did not and had to wait over 3 hours to get their keys.

This is my third stay at the Marriott Grand Residence and I will continue to stay here when I'm in South Lake Tahoe. I was in a one bedroom 2 bath suite with 2 fireplaces, a jetted tub and full kitchen. Laundry facilities were conveniently located down the hall. The rooms were very clean and the staff was amazing. There is a heated pool, 2 hot tubs and a steam room on property. It is also right next to the ski lift and walking distance to many restaurants, shops and casinos are less half a mile down the road.

Beautiful property with a nice feel for families

We were so disappointed that all of the little special and unique touches were gone this year. It’s the reason we booked again from our stay last year. I.E. no drink service at pool, no kid activities— last year we loved the popsicle stand, and sundaes for kids to make. No more warm cookies at check in. Literally nothing at this hotel except a lame scavenger hunt.

The room was big, clean and had lots of activities if you were to stay in. The staff at check in was excellent forgot the gentleman's name (Matthew ?..) I would definitely stay here again this time I would bring my kids as this was a solo trip for our 9 year anniversary. The city was just breath taking and loved the champagne boat ride we booked. I can not wait to be back!

Well lets start by parking there is no parking for trucks bigger than 6'11 and you need to park across the street from the hotel, it is cheaper though to park across the street. The bell/valet staff was the weirdest I ever encounter, you ask for help with luggage and they give you the cart and you load it ?... Then ask them to bring it up and they leave it and tell you to bring the cart down when your finish ?... it was just weird. I've never encounter this before in any hotel I've stayed in. Then why have a bell service.? Lastly i was expecting more of a wow factor as we were celebrating an anniversary. oh almost forgot they don't have any restaurant or somewhere to grab a snack.

The room was lovely and large, and it was really nice to have a full kitchen and two bathrooms with a separate area to watch TV because my husband likes to go to bed early and get up early. Either one of us could watch TV without disturbing the other. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and it was very close to the state line, which would it be great if we had gone to the casinos.

The only thing I didn’t like was that there was only valet parking. However, this is a small price to pay for such a lovely property. We like to come and go a lot, and it’s a little bit of a pain to have a valet park the car multiple times a day.

Location was excellent

Heavenly feels a bit like resort stuck on a highway and really had no atmosphere much at all- it definitely could do with a supermarket right in the centre of town you could walk to instead of three casinos

Loved the outdoor pool and spa which were fanatstic after a day on the slopes. We had a studio room which was compact but had everything we needed for our stay. Excellent location close to the Gondola and in the village with plenty of eating options nearby and a good supermarket across the street. Good value for the location and peak period

Dissapointed that the sauna was broken, from reading other reviews it would seem this has been the case for some time. We thought the layout of the room unit was not very well thought out, would have been better to have had an eating nook in the kitchen area rather than table and chairs. Also would have been nice to have a had a lounge or another chair to relax in, a window set would have been perfect.

The staff was very good. Laurel the concierge was excellent. We would stay there again.

Valet parking only was an added expense daily and with tips every time you went in and out. Our first room had a 4 plus foot high riser that took up about five feet of room space. The problem was it was in front of the window so if you are less than 6-4 you probably could not open or close the blinds which made no sense. They changed our room after we requested another with out hesitation.

The location is perfect. There is a lot to do and see around it. Breakfast is not provided, but the apartments are well-equipped with a modern kitchen. There are many places to dine.

Nothing really, except the price is high, and there are other lodging options that are less costly.
