We stayed at Eighth Bastion in Fort Kochi, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The staff and the hotel’s theme were exceptional – they were always there with a smile, ready to help or answer any questions. An extra bonus was the excellent espresso available in the room, along with a variety of loose-leaf teas. In the afternoons, snacks were offered, and included in our stay was a two-hour tuk-tuk sightseeing tour as well as a heritage morning walk. I have rarely stayed at a hotel that consistently goes the extra mile to create a memorable experience for its guests. The location is also excellent, right behind the Dutch Cemetery and Sandy Beach, where you can enjoy the sunset within minutes. From there, it’s a pleasant walk along the water to the busier parts of town. Breakfast here was probably the best we’ve had in India, with plenty of healthy and nutritious options. The restaurant also served very tasty and reasonably priced meals, and any special requests were always happily accommodated. Eighth Bastion Fort Kochi is our obvious choice whenever we return – and we definitely will!

Our stay from the beginning to the end was marvelous. Everybody from the security guard to recieptionist were super nice and welcoming. When we reached the security guard easily helped get our luggage and bring to reception. At the reception we were greeted with refreshing drinks and later escorted us to our room. The room was stunning - it was spotless (for somebody who has severe dust allergies, I felt very nice being there). Throughout our stay, the staff helped us with all necessities. I would recommend the place for anybody who is coming to kochi - it’s the best service you can get anywhere. Upon checkout early morning they even packed us breakfast, which was super sweet.

This hotel is in an excellent location for exploring Fort Kochi. My room was very clean, comfortable and spacious, with a lovely bathroom - including a massive walk in shower. Big choice of tasty cooked breakfast options in addition to the buffet. Unlimited drinking water available. The swimming pool was really nice and the staff were fantastic - very kind and helpful (they even noticed it was my birthday when I checked in and surprised me with a cake that evening!) The walking tour and tuk tuk tour that they arranged were also great. I was travelling solo and felt very safe in the hotel and surrounding area, even walking alone at night. There are internal bolts on the room door should you wish to use them.

We ended up arriving at the hotel later than planned due to delayed flight and lost baggage! The hotel staff from the airport onwards did everything to reassure us that they would assist with getting reunited with the bag. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a beautiful building with a lovely pool area and restaurant where you can sit inside or out. We were lucky to have a room with a balcony overlooking the pool - all amenities were catered for and the room was spacious and comfortable. Great location just a couple of minutes walk from the sea front.

The staff made our stay so nice. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and attentive. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The complimentary breakfast was great and had many options. As two female travelers we felt safe and cared for. They also arranged an insanely early check in for us, we got there at 6AM from the airport. Plus a free two hour tuktuk tour. We unknowingly booked our trip during Onam, Kerala’s main annual celebration. Flower art, games, everyone was smiling. Incredible!

Traveling solo can sometimes feel a bit daunting, but my stay at [Hotel Name] couldn’t have been more comforting. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine care. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and considerate, always ready to help with a smile. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and consistently well-kept throughout my stay. Had a wonderful stay! Akhil ensured a smooth check in process despite us arriving earlier than expected. The room was perfect, the location is ideal for folks with a Fort Kochi itinerary. The restaurant offered great breakfasts and meals, and Nithin ensured a perfect dining experience. The pool was also super clean. The complimentary tour was a great way to get to know the area and plan other stops (thanks Martin for the detailed explanations!) Overall, a very pleasant time.

The hotel is located in a peaceful area, offering a serene environment for guests. CGH prioritizes sustainability, aiming to minimize waste and reduce environmental impact. The rooms are exceptionally clean, with comfortable beds ensuring a restful stay. The breakfast selection is both diverse and offers great value for money. Additionally, all major tourist attractions in Fort Kochi are easily accessible from the hotel.

There is no dedicated car parking facility for the property however the security team takes care the vehicle being parked out side.

The staff were so welcoming, they helped carry all of our luggage into the rooms, they also welcomed us with traditional drinks. They helped arrange tuk tuk tours for us. The place was absolutely stunning. Huge bathrooms, and an incredible room! It was super clean and nice to be in. The breakfast was really good they have many options and there are eggs and pancakes and other things that you can order that are complimentary to the breakfast free of charge. There was also a snack time at 4 pm which was also complimentary free of charge. The location is very central in Fort Kochi, you can walk everywhere within maximum 10 minutes. It’s also very close to the beach! Overall, you get everything you pay for and more. Lovely staff and amazing place. One of my favorite stays. I would highly recommend this place. It is a must. It’s basically a steal for the price you pay!

Great location at Fort Kochi. A very short walk to the beach to catch sunset. Lots of food options within walking distance. Breakfast is good, staff friendly and the complimentary 2 hour Tuk Tuk tour is a fantastic bargain thrown in by the hotel.

The layout of the room takes a little getting used to. It will be better if there is a stopper to hold the door to the bedroom open.
