I needed a hotel near Zurich airport, one priced low and without frills. My goal was to rest, sleep, before heading to a work-situation the following day, so the day-earlier arrival helps me with jet lag. Bramen was perfect for all this--a family hotel, with a superb pub/restaurant on the ground floor--apparently a well-known spot with classic decor, marvelous-smelling and looking food (I didn't have a meal other than breakfast), loads of locals, a fine, warm feeling about it. Very friendly folks who worked there (the owner, I'm guessing, her family who live there, the restaurant and housekeeping folks who likely do double duty, all so nice). As I expected, the room is very simple, no frills, nothing spiffy, but that's what I wanted. Comfy bed, good wi-fi, no distractions, a supermarket directly next door for the goodies I like to eat when I'm overcoming jet lag (light, fruit, rice cakes). An apotheke (pharmacy) down the corner, quiet neighborhood, and just minutes from the airport. Price was great! I woul definitely stay there again.

I didn't see a hairdryer or a teakettle but I bet I'd only have had to ask and both would have appeared! (I travel with my own electric kettle). I liked really everything. It was just right for me. Really appreciated the economical price.

The place is ok, nothing amazing but the price is also lower than in most properties in and around Zurich. The restaurant seems to be decent but be aware that breakfast options are very limited, just bread and a croissant with some butter and various spreads (plus coffee and orange juice, of course). Reading other reviews, I saw that some people were very upset by this, but personally it's not a big deal, you don't always need a huge selection of food for breakfast - however it is something that you should know going in. The location is somewhat remote and the staff speak very little English, but we were still able to communicate everything.

I didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t an elevator, and I had to haul my two bags up two flights of stairs. I also had an early flight, so I went down to breakfast right at 6 o’clock. Nothing was prepared. I did ask for a cup of coffee, and got that along with a basket of bread. I did not think that constituted a free breakfast.

Godsend for an early flight. There's a bus stop right across from the hotel and the buses run every 30 mins. If you're willing to walk a little farther, there are more buses available as well. Be sure to download CFF app so you can purchase tickets online. The room was surprisingly spacious. I believe that the hotel was built well before those space-conscious tiny hotels started to fill the market. The room comes with a nice little balcony. The receptionist was very friendly as well.

We wanted somewhere close to the airport for our final night in Switzerland for an early morning departure. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, the food was fantastic and we got to the airport the next morning in plenty of time. It was a lovely way to finish of our holiday.

Everything was perfect. It’s not ultra modern but that’s not what we were looking for. We wanted somewhere with character that was comfortable and convenient.

I did not like, I Love thsi place. Staff are adorable, helpful. There was a real key to the room not stupid card that dose'nt work.. Great classic wholesome food. Close to an amazing public pool with slides. The Airport is 5 mins by local but 4 Frs... What more to ask for??

Nothing to dislike.

Very close from airport - from airport walk is 20 minutes down by park. Beware GPS at the airport is blocked! Make photo map before landing. Return at early morning to the airport is easy by bus 732 at 5:20 BEWARE ! Only Swiss cash /No card/ at bus. They has a nice quiet bar. Clean.

For this price you definitely won't be disappointed. Room is comfortable, made (I would say) in retro style. For one person it is a good option. Placed near the airport, it can be loud, but for me personally it wasn't a problem. If you are like me looking for a place to stay in Zurich and don't mind walking for 1.5 hour, you will like this offer

Good value for close access to the airport.

Breakfast was very simple. However, the value was very good so that was OK. Taxi ride was high to airport. Less that 3 km and it was 24 CHF. Not a reflection on the hotel but the cost of services in Switzerland.

This is family run establishment. Surprisingly convenient to tge airport … three stops on the 732 bus … the staff were friendly and the food was first rate . The rooms are basic but for one night all was well
