Very Friendly, Professional & also a bit of family atmosphere thats why you feel very comfortable and welcome. All the staff were exceptional and top but the young lady at the Reception with long dark brown hair, who makes the first impression for the hotel was the absolute best. Shedid her job excellent without her it would not had been the same. I am also receptionist in Lucerne. This Lady should get a salary of minimum 250fr more per month.

The pool and bar offer a convenient relaxing moment, the restaurant in-house is also very convenient to spare a trip into the city and is also of high standards. The rooms lake-side offer an unobstructed view of the panorama. Breakfast had ample choices.

I would be more specific in the description that the location is on a hilltop, reachable by steep medieval-like steps. Sustainable travelers arriving in Ascona by public transport might find it quite demanding, especially if they planned going into the city with a certain frequency.

Hotel was lovely, staff were helpful, rooms were large and balconies were large. A male staff member at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful in locating our missing luggage at the airport and organized to have it delivered to the hotel. Very grateful to him for all he did for us.

Parking was busy and difficult, but we did manage to create a spot. One staff member at breakfast was unfriendly on a daily basis and always looked annoyed with all guests requests.

Great hotel, nice location out of the hustle & bustle. Quiet & comfy room with good facilities. Check in staff very welcoming and helpful. Secure parking easy and plenty of space.

Waiting staff completely different to check in staff, very rude with everything a problem, made to feel very unwelcome, certainly wouldn’t advise using their restaurant, so much so we got up and left before even ordering any food and went into town.

We received a complimentary room upgrade with an amazing view of the lake, mountains, and swimming pool. The staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and the swimming pool offered a fantastic view.

The beds were a bit too soft for my taste, but that’s a matter of personal preference. Also, the swimming pool closed around 7 PM, although it was listed as open until 8 PM on Booking.com.

The views are amazing, the staff are exceptional and facilities are great. Very clean and tidy and very picturesque. A good place to go to connect with nature and take in amazing sights. The breakfast is very rich and diverse, with lots of fresh restocks and an overall tasty menu. Great value for money and the owner went round at breakfast to make sure everyone was okay. We even got upgraded to a lake view apartment with an amazing balcony. Absolutely worth every penny.

No smart TV, however who needs a TV when you’ve got an amazing view through your large window screen.

The perfect location, beautiful views, excellent facilities, very clean and comfortable rooms / beds, and great set menus in the restaurant reasonably priced bySwiss standards. In addition, this hotel is managed with a lot of love and care about their guests. It’s been already three generations of family ownership and it obvious how much the owners like their business and care about the hotel and comfortable stay of their guests. There are many expensive features around the hotel, a high quality patio furniture for example, freshly cut flowers everywhere, the displays of art, good designer’s taste, etc. The owners mingled with their guests during the special reception and dinner (it was super delicious!) on Swiss Nat’l Day. Their presence was humble, unassuming and down to earth sincere and friendly. We stayed only for four nights and I wanted to extend our stay but the hotel was fully booked. Next time we go to Ascona or Locarno area, I will make sure we’ll book this hotel for longer :)

Very nice welcome from all which is quite unique and brings a family touch to the place. Also from the owner which was very special and which I appreciated. The garden is beautiful, very well maintained and most relaxing. I also enjoyed the quality of the linen and the cupboard space. The upgrade was a nice surprise. Looking forward to go back once.

Great place to stay uphill from city center with beautiful view. It has beautiful and green garden on site. We were surprised by apero offered for Easter Saturday. Very friendly staff, spacious room with balcony and view on the lake and mountains. Amazing breakfast. Walking distance to everywhere. Very good price. We will be back for sure :)
