Visited in August 2024 This was a fantastic place that we stayed on our way to Lisbon. This is an absolutely beautiful place in the country. It is impeccably manicured and very well kept up. The lady who runs it is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, ac was cold, wifi was fast, bed was comfortable room was big, bathroom was clean...perfect, absolutely perfect. We took time to take a dip in the very large pool that very enjoyable. We got a drink from the bar and it was quick and delicious! The lady who runs it cooked dinner for us fresh and it was delicious. It was a local dish...pork and shells with potatoes in a wine and butter sauce. WOW!!! We wish we would have had time to stay for a few days! If you are anywhere close...come and stay here...you will be very impressed and enjoy your stay.

The Owners and the staff were very friendly and helpful, always checking if I needed anything and making sure that my requests have satisfied. Beautiful, stylish yet peaceful and family-like cosy environment, highly recommended to anyone who wants to have a little getaway in nature and quiet.

Will need a car if you want to see the nearby places but it was not a problem for me as I was happy just staying there for few days.

Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food all cooked fresh and from the farm. Quiet peaceful location. Would highly recommend.

Great property - with stunning landscape windows with views over the rolling countryside. Staff were great, and food excellent. the Black Pork was delicious!

Our stay was only an overnight, and we would have liked to stay longer, which we will do on the next trip. Unfortunately there were some caged birds in the gardens, which is not so consistent with being in a wildlife park, and is likely to cause concern to the animal / bird lovers that visit!

Excellent location if you like country side and want to be away from noise. I Loved it.

But of driving if you are traveling on highway.

A beautiful small hotel in the middle of Alentejo, with nicely decorated rooms and halls, a pool with an amazing view, and a good breakfast with outstanding bread. The staff was incredibly nice and the surroundings are perfect for birdwatching!

I wasn't particularly impressed with the dinner suggestion, but it was still quite tasty.

At arrival the room was cold and with a wonderful clean smell (outside temp 40º C). Everybody was nice and very friendly (staff and woner). Dinner was perfect. The place is beautiful!

Even the bread was five stars, fresh made and served hot we"ve missed some orange juice and some home made cake... but still plenty of fruit 🍏

the environment, the location and the lovely meal at night

it is far from the habitat world. not every night is there a dinner at Montes dos pocos. a suggestion might be a small kitchen for guests who don't want to drive to Castro Verde at night for a dinner

Outstanding service, genuinely caring staff. Exquisite food. Pretty quiet location, just 10 kms away from Aljustrel.

Really nice property, with many details to enjoy a relaxing stay. The owners are super attentive and nice. The food is amazing.
