We stayed for 3 days and the silence is the one thing to point out. Not silence but something very similar. You can hear the nature, the wind, a tractor goes by once or twice a day, but it makes sense. The staff is wonderful. Dona Filomena and Sr. Carlos are very welcoming and will do anything to make your stay better. Sr. Carlos drove me around the property to see the animals and the vast nature. Overall, it was lovely.

It felt very solid. Everything in the house was real, good quality, proper. The house is located in a remote and very peaceful place. The only thing you here there are the goats (in the evening). Good living room with a view (we worked there a lot), swimming pool.

Breakfast area is very small and loud when there are people all eating together. Going outside was an option but too sunny (umbrella didn’t work). Poor quality WiFi.

We were looking for a relaxing weekend, and Casa dos Castelejos was a perfect spot for this. We stayed at a house, just for ourselves. It had a fully equipped kitchen (you even have a dishwasher and even the essentials such as oil, or salt), air conditioner, and even the basics for the bathroom. The pool was very clean, and the breakfast was pretty good, with fresh fruit and homemade bread. The place is secluded, as you can see on the map. But we staffed ourselves with food and we spent the weekend just to enjoy the site. If you are looking for a relaxed weekend, do not hesitate.

We loved the remoteness of the property. We enjoyed being close to nature. The bathroom was excellent and everything was very clean.

We didn't like having our cold buffet breakfast brought to us the evening before meaning things weren't quite as fresh as they could have been. We would have preferred our breakfast to have been served to us. The mattresses weren't very comfortable. We also didn't like the fact that we had no private outside space such as a terrace or balcony. There are outside spaces but they are not private. We have stayed at this property before and a wonderful evening meal was cooked for us at an extra cost which we appreciated. This was sadly not an option on this occasion.

Every thing except the lights.

We like to read before we sleep and there not enough light. Also in the very comfortable lounge,not enough light.

Located in a tiny hamlet it is perfect for whoever is either into birding, hiking, or only serious relax. House with 3 rooms, excellent views, large space inside and outside. Nice garden with decent size pool. Breakfast is served between 7:00 and 10:00 to accommodate early risers. Dinner can be ordered on request.

On outside patio there should be more chairs.

Everything! Certainly the best stay in a long time. The staff was super welcoming and helpful, we had home made dinner at the property and it was superb. Breakfast was also amazing! The room was super clean, the property was quiet and relaxing, and it was so charming and well taken care of that it felt like staying longer. Highly recommend!

The location was in a small town that was off the grid. It was peaceful and quiet. The view from the back patio brought so much relaxation, along with the distant sound of sheep. The town's people were all so kind and friendly. And there were kitties everywhere! It was a paradise. My youngest is 9 and he loved the house. The pool was beautiful and maintained so nicely. We all felt like we were home. Philomena let us use the common areas for cooking and relaxing. It was just a perfect two days spent there.
