Doing the west Highland Way, we stopped over here on route to Fort William. We were soaked through to the skin. A staff member welcomed us in and didn't hang around in giving us a key to our pre booked room. There was 3 of us and the room was more than big enough. The all important shower didn't disappoint, hot as you would want it or as cold as you dare. The beds were comfortable and we all had a good sleep. The big bonus for us was the drying room , a bit unorganised/free for all regarding hanging up of garments and boots but great the fact they had one. My only complaint was the squeaky hinge door on the entrance to the drying room. Especially when you have 4,30am risers getting ready for an early start.

The room was more than adequate and it was nice and cool when we slept, which was perfect because the summer days were hot! The staff was so friendly and the pub food was excellent! The space was clean and comfortable! I was worried because I had seen so many negative reviews... and if you are hiking WHW, it was one of our favorite places we stayed!

It was great!

The location was perfect to end a day of hiking the West Highland Way. The Tailrace Inn has a bar on the ground floor and the rooms were above. The rooms were cozy and suited our needs. The bar was the perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking and have a beer (or two) and a good dinner (make a reservation for dinner if you can). As good was the dinner was, the breakfast the next day was the star of the show with porridge as creamy and good as any that we have ever had. The hotel also provided a delicious packed lunch for us to take away for our next day of hiking. This was a wonderful choice for a place to stay in Kinlochleven.

I can not think of anything that could have been better about the stay.

We loved the location, the staff, the atmosphere in the bar and the excellent food. The staff were exceptional- we felt true hospitality. Donna was just brilliant - she was efficient and friendly. She led a young team who are learning from the best. Young Anton and Emily will do brilliantly under her wing.

Not much.

Great place to stay, mountain views from the bedroom, food was great for dinner - didn't have the breakfast so cannot comment. Room was good, however the main double bed was very creaky in need of repair. Bathroom was great, shower was nice, and soaps and towels supplied without requesting. Will come back.

As mentioned before, the bed was very creaky, needs repair - aside from that all good :)

The room and bathroom were quite spacious. Equipment included kettle and hair dryer. We stayed only one night but location was ideal for our road trip.

Floor in the corridor was a bit noisy (squeeky). We were really tired so we fell asleep very quickly anyway butyou can definitelly hear people coming to their rooms .

This was a lovely stay at the inn - firstly the staff were superb - especially the lady at breakfast! The food was great and we enjoyed a few drinks in the pub - a very nice stay

The bedrooms are a bit jaded - but comfortable and still good value

When we arrived we walked into the pub area and was greeted by the lady who worked behind the bar ( sorry i didnt get her name ) she was so lovely and made us feel welcome after a wet 9 mile walk from Kings House Hotel, We ordered drinks and home made mince and tatties while we waited for our room. Our room was clean and cosey with a comfy bed and an ensuite toilet and shower. In the morning we had a hearty breakfast before heading out to Fort William.

Nice en-suite room and super drying room. Very comfortable and welcoming staff (Norma). Nice choice of breakfast options. It is a pub and we were told the food was excellent. However, after several days of fries we noticed the “Rice & Chips” cafe immediately opposite and opted for Chinese. It was excellent! We order two entree plus rice and it was too much. The lemon chicken was delicious!

The staff were absolutely fantastic. They accommodated a special request at the last minute and we were extremely grateful!

The property needs some upgrading, but, I would still stay there again.
