Loved the view of the loch, the room and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice and included everything.

The barmen working on the afternoon of our arrival was grumpy and unhelpful. All other staff were fantastic.

Stayed here for three nights, well pleased. All the staff, in Reception, the Bar and in the Restaurant were pleasant, approachable and efficient, a pleasure to talk to. As for the food, reasonably priced (£25 for three courses)it’s not cordon bleu, presentation could improve at times, but this chef can cook, really cook! The hotel is showing its age a little but our room was clean and nothing was stained, torn or broken and we could not detect any smells in the corridors (my wife is a great detector of smells) or anywhere else for that matter. All in all a good place to stay, it’s not the cheapest for its standard but it is in a tourist hot spot and cheap compared to the competition.

I'm so pleased that we ended up here at the Caledonian. It may have been not planned, (I screwed up dates at our B&B) but it's definitely been a good experience. My husband and I slept like the dead, possibly because of the twin beds (only rooms available), but more than likely because we were exhausted. Lol. However, outside of the fact that it's an older Hotel, the accommodations were quite nice. The staff was great; the entertainment was entertaining; the bar was quite adequate, and the breakfast this morning really nice. I would definitely stay here again! There have been some reviews about the heat of the shower. Ours was perfect. They even have a "Doggy Bar" for furbabies in reception with a bowl of fresh water and nummies.

The hotel is really worn out, as many guests wrote. All the furniture is outdated, the floors creak a lot. But it's not as bad as some wrote. We got a room on the 4th floor with a stunning view of the lake. It was very warm at night, the heater worked well. The room was clean, the bed was quite comfortable. There was a big free parking lot in front of the hotel, when we arrived at 6 pm there were many free spaces but then it all fulled.

The location of the hotel has great potential. It just needs some renovation. But overall there is nothing to complain about, I couldn't find anything cheaper in that area near the lake.

Staff were all friendly. Location was great not too close to the centre of Fort William, only 5 mins away in the car. Some road noise from the room but we were only staying over for one night so it was okay. Dining area was spacious and clean. Bar area was also clean and comfortable and the dogs were allowed to be with us which was good. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Rooms were basic but comfortable, we were in room 108 on ground floor overlooking the car park with views of the water/hills, I feel the room was recently updated, beds comfy, bedding nice and white/clean and plenty of storage. Kettle and cups were provided with tea and coffee. Overall for our one night stay and for the price we were happy with the hotel and service provided.

Although I feel the rooms were recently updated, the bathroom could have been cleaner, the grouting in the shower needed a good scrub and the bathroom door was a bit grubby.

The location was perfect, the view from our window was lovely. Check in and out was easy. Staff were really friendly and welcoming. The place is 5 minutes away from the high street so made dinner easy. When we came back we could see they had a singer on so cant not fault the place. Our room was clean and spotless. Could bit fault the place

Think the parking area needs a update, more so spaces are clearer and people park in an actual marked space, as parking was awful when we returned due to cars not parking properly and leaving gaps so too small for other cars to get into. So just came across selfish

For the price, the whole place was excellent. It was comfy, spacious, accessible, warm, good views, easy to find and great location. Staff were great, easy check in, clean room. I can't fault it, it was just like a premier or travelodge. It was basic but just what we like, we dont require luxuries. Also dog stayed with us as well and she seemed to settle well. We didn't eat food there so can't comment on that. We will most likely stay again.

It was a little noisy Friday night with people passing in corridor and footsteps running about above us I think (kids) but not enough to make us cross. Walls a bit thin that's all as could hear someone else's TV but again it was not a big deal.

Location is very good opposite the lough with mountains behind. Carpark close with plenty of space. Our room had the view over to the mountains, it was clean and comfortable, large walk-in shower with plenty of hot water. No noise from the outside or other guests.

This is not a criticism, it’s just a observation. The Hotel is dated and some areas are in need of renovation, but it doesn’t really matter as long as you accept that, the price we payed for 3 nights was well worth the money, so you get a good hotel for a great price as we saw by all the happy guests there.

Location is just opposite the sea so you are guaranteed nice views. We went in December and I'm assuming in summer it would be fully packed. Room size was okay but since we were on the top floor it was a little too hot for my liking even thought we switched off the heating. Dog friendly which was even better! Facilities for teas and coffee were provided. Food wise we opted for hotel menu. Not too much of a vast choice but food was delicious. Breakfast good choice of buffet and continental options. You'll definitely see us again 😀

Everything! The hotel was quite nice from the inside, the view from the loch view room is amazing (during our stay there were some reconstruction, so the view was obstructed). Nothing can be heard from the constuction works. It was 30 minutes far from Glenfinnan Viaduct by car, and also 30 minutes drive from the Three Sisters hiking trail at Glencoe. There was soap and shower gel in the bathroom, and wifi in the room.

You have to make a reservation for the hotel restaurant, but at the bar you can eat (smaller food selection than the restaurant) / drink whenever you want.
