Good parking, good kitchenette, stylish furnishing and fittings.

The property details on booking.com do not make clear that reception is closed at the weekends in the afternoon ie during normal checkin times. The fact that it calls itself a hotel, and that the highish price includes breakfast, leads you to expect something better than the pretty basic paperbag provided. Very steep stairs for luggage, when the lift is broken.

The location was great. Easy walk to restaurants for breakfast and dinner. Beautiful old building.

The bed on one side was sagging down. There were no tea bags in the room when we arrived and they said there would be a 2hr wait for them to bring them so we went to the supermarket and bought our own. Just felt like a warm tea after an afternoon of wine tasting. The floor boards were very creaky and that didn’t bother us but if you were staying underneath in another apartment it would have been annoying.

We love staying here 2nd year we have come back! Beautiful spot, lovely warm cosy and great block out curtains!!!

Everything about the place was lovely, staff were apologetic.Just a few small touches that fell through that were no ones fault but I tried to make special. No robes even on 2nd day I asked if the lovely kimono robes could be placed on bed the cleaner said 'she would see'. But no robes when room was made up. We were upgraded for birthday then due to unexpected repairs had to head back to studio, no snacks on arrival like usual but were there the 2nd day. But a lovely bottle of wine was left for us. There were a bunch of younger people who partied all night in adjoining room 2nd night. We still love the place and will be back just a shame a few hiccups this time. Staff were apologetic and still a lovely stay.

I ordered a Standard Suite and it was lovely. My hubby and I really loved the room. We didn't have the "breakfast" however it was offered if we wanted to have that. Very clean, great amenities in the room. Large bathroom and we loved the kitchenette! There is also a large balcony out the front to chill out on. We loved it! The housekeeping staff were lovely and very helpful. Reception staff were lovely! We were located very close to town and across the road from the Paragon Hotel where we ate some lovely meals. Will definitely stay here again!

As soon as I walked into the property it radiated warmth and relaxation. The reception staff were so friendly and welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The room was next level comforting and relaxing, the bed was luxurious and the selection of local wine was heavenly and so close to all the local restaurants and bars and a newly renovated hotel across the road. I stay in a lot of hotels and accommodation for work and this is one of the best I've ever stayed at, I will be back for a personal trip next time.

I couldn't fault a thing!

Loved the building and its history. The layout of room was great. Everything catered for even complimentary crisps, chocolate, and nuts which is rare. Location was fantastic and easy to walk places. The big verandah upstairs was a nice find for breakfast and watching the super moon rise. Good pub next door for easy evening meal and stroll home. Easy parking on site. Cleaning staff do a great job too...and very friendly. Exceptional hotel.

The room was full of charm with old character from the building with modern facilities. Little touches like the complimentary snacks, Sleep tea next to the bed & kimono made it extra special. The breakfast bag was a great idea, the Brookfarm granola was delicous and I went home and purchased some on line, the option for other milks to be ordered ahead of time so they were waiting in the room was welcomed.

It would be good to have the room number more clearly on the keys - maybe written on one of the wooden blocks on the key ring. It was hard to read on the key and I had forgotton what room I was told I was in when I got to the level my room was on.

I liked everything. The whole building is great and the rooms beautiful. I love the décor and the stylishness of the place. The added extra were great and really made us feel welcome and special. Complimentary snacks, lovely coffee cups and coffee maker, take away cups for morning coffee to go. Comfortable beds, great linen and robes. Enjoyed a drinks on the spacious first floor veranda. If they had a pool I'd stay a week.

We loved the venue and the staff were fantastic. A huge thank you to the manager who picked up the catering for my hubbie's birthday on Monday and helping me with the washing machine :)

I do need to point out that the room was a bit "dusty", particular the cushions on the couch and the windowsills - as there is only air conditioning, not a ceiling fan, we noticed this during the night (we could not leave the windows open due to street noise from the pub across the road and early morning traffic), so upon waking would feel a bit "sniffly" from dust. I do think also that for a venue that is closeby to a popular pub, you might need to consider some sound proofing in rooms that are facing the venue. Other than that, we loved the hotel and Mudgee and hope to be back again soon.

Everything!! The room and bathroom was very clean and was beautifully decorated and spacious enough for two. Bed was so comfortable as were the pillows. I even asked reception where they were from. We had most of our meals in the beautiful cafes and restaurants in town during our stay, they were all so close and within walking distance. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back again.

Just something very minor, and only putting it here as I don’t like to have aircon on all night. Some people may also be the same. We were not able to open a window. Seemed the one window that would open, couldn’t stay open. We didn’t want to use the aircon all night but had to as it was so hot during our stay. Other than that everything else was great.
