Location was superb, literally at the bottom of the main lift into Avoriaz. It was cosy and warm, towels provided, beds were fine for our short stay and comfortable, depends on how you like your mattress, for me it was perfect for my partner it was too soft. Breakfast was simple but enough to fill you up, pastries, fruit, boiled eggs, bread, yogurts and cereal, coffee, the hot chocolate was very nice, we were also given a glass of water. The host was lovely, we struggled with the language barrier with me not knowing much French. He was very helpful and we managed. He was very informative with any questions such as where to hire our equipment, free bus to morzine and local restaurants as they don’t provide meals other than breakfast. Ski lockers provided in the basement which was ideal.

Absolutely perfect! The hotel is in an ideal location, a few minutes walk from the Prodains Express cable car, ski rental shop, local restaurants, and bus stop for the free bus to/from Morzine. Our flight from the UK did not arrive into Geneva until 22:30 but we were given clear instructions on where our keys would be, and the journey from Geneva took around 1 hour 20 mins in our rental car. There is private parking outside the front of the hotel which was ideal. For €14 each we had a good, continental style breakfast, including fruit juice, coffee, hot chocolate etc each morning. The rooms were very comfortable, lovely and warm, and cleaned each day. The owners were very friendly, looked after us well, and answered a couple of questions before our trip, very quickly. There are also ski lockers for each room located to the side of the hotel. We already had our own boots, but rented skis online from Sport 2000 Prodains Sports, two minutes walk from the hotel. Highly recommended.

Great comfort of bed Exceptional empathy of the night receptionist (that kind man with glasses). We had an issue on the road and we finally arrived at 1am and departed 3 hours later to get our boat. The kind auditor prepared us a take-away breakfast and we enjoyed every bites of our breakfast This kind of gesture worth a billion when you are very tired. So to that kind night receptionist “MUCHISSIMAS GRACIAS por su ayuda”. You boosted us with your kindness 😊

Not easy to find parking lot

We booked the apartment to stay in and a couple of extra rooms and it was quite lovely. In the apartment, there were two double bedrooms with a shower room, a separate room for the toilet, an open plan kitchen, dining and living area where there was a sofa bed as well. And 2 balconies overlooking the mountains. There was a microwave, fridge, stove and plenty of utensils, cutlery, plates and cups to use. It was also nice they provided some salt and sugar. The hotel was very close to the cable car to head up to the mountains where we could ski. And right next to the bus stop which headed down to the town centre, a bonus that it was free too. The owner spoke only French so there was a language barrier but he was very friendly and helped us out whenever we needed.

It was at some point quite cold, there were no thermostats around which was a downside. The triple room and the double room (not the apartment) we booked were quite small so something to bear in mind.

Location is perfect, 5 mins walk to the gondola and ski hire, you can ski to the door. We ski to the ski hire shop and 2 min walk. Hotel is basic, very clean and friendly Restaurant / bar over the road is great, lots of options and well priced. Great bar too

We had breakfast which was ok and no other options around, it was quite basic coffee / orange / pastry / cake and a boiled egg and toast. I would still have it if I returned but could be much improved for the price

We felt very looked after at La Kinkerne. We stayed in the two bed apartment which had everything we needed for a very comfortable few days’ skiing. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and served in a charming restaurant/bar area. Snow permitting you can ski to the door. The prodains lift is a great choice for getting straight into the Avoriaz ski area quickly and it runs in the evening too. Would definitely stay here again.

The internet / wi fi was poor, but usable

Great location (a few mins walk from ski hire shop and Prodain lift) and fantastic view from the room. You could also ski down to the hotel bar (when/if it was open!) Owners seemed very friendly and helpful.

Bar area was not always open and no food was being served. As there are only a few bars/restaurants in this area it made getting a bottle of water etc… difficult. WiFi signal was also poor - ended up staying on data.

The family running the hotel came in to clean the room every day, they were so friendly and accommodating, we were really touched by this.

We could hear our motivated neighbours in the neighbouring rooms getting up early for first lifts when we wanted a lie in haha!

This is a nice little hotel not far (5 mins walk) from the Prodains Express gondola, which gives direct access into Avoriaz. Hotel staff are super-friendly.

The only comment I can make is that the bed was a little on the small side

Amazing location, great apartment and absolutely lovely couple who run the hotel.

Nothing, all brilliant. For ski season would suggest perhaps something to help with drying clothes. It was possible in the apartment but could be better if a drying rack was available and drying room for boots.
