The room was beautifully designed, had all the necessities including a kitchenette and the hotel had hammocks and a pool. On top of that, the monkeys that visited the hotel grounds daily were the highlight of the stay! We could feed them on the ground floor as well as in our own balcony. The hotel was half an hour away from Xel-Ha park and is also extremely close to Xcaret parks Xplor and Xenses.

I guess if I had to complain I’d say that it’s not so easy to park there because of the terrain and the trees, but we managed to park our sedan every day no problem.

The stay at Casa tortugas had truly exceeded my expectation in various aspects. This boutique hotel is located right outside of the Xcaret Park. The driving time from this hotel to the park is around 5 minutes. My room was spacious and well decorated. All staffs were attentative and showed hospitality, friendliness, and care. We had chances to spot wild spider monkeys and even feed the monkeys with bananas provided by the hotel, which is the highlight of our stay.

Everything is great. My only suggestion is the hotel should take more precautions on insects control, especialy at the dining area.

This was probably the best hotel room I've ever been in!! The mecca of home away stays from home, very comfortable, amazing staff, and the coolest monkeys, fantastic food options. We loved it and we are planning to come back! This was the first time we visited Xcaret and it was such an amazing experience we can't wait to experience more of it!! There wasn't anything we didn't like, we really enjoyed everything and this location!

The location was beautiful. You felt like you were in the middle of the jungle and we’re living in a treehouse. The bed was comfortable. The room was well appointed. Everything worked properly. The complementary breakfast every morning was wonderful. We even saw monkeys who visited our Balcony, which was amazing. The location to Xcaret parks is wonderful but, most importantly, the staff exceeded all my expectations. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating and helpful and really kept the place beautiful.

The only thing that I didn’t like initially was the road to get into the hotel itself, because it felt like you were going into the middle of the jungle, and it made me a little scared, but it ended up being such a beautiful place

Super cosy, comfortable beds, clean, simple but freshly made breakfast every morning, very friendly staff and best of all - there’s spider monkeys everywhere!! Would definitely book it again if coming back

It’s nice to have a rental car, it’s located a little bit off but only 6 min by car and there’s bikes to loan at the hotel. We actually liked not being in the center though because it’s not noisy and busy and there’s no monkeys in town ;)

What an amazing hotel! Close to Playa del Carmen, but still surrounded by jungle. It's only a 15 minute walk from Xcaret park, and they can help you book the tickets. The staf speaks excellent English and are extremely friendly. They gave us a lot of tips and even bananas to feed the monkeys! Breakfast is okay, dinner is good. They don't offer a lot of traditional Mexican dishes, but as we were travelling for 3 weeks already we didn't mind the international kitchen.

Great, little place, not crowded, with very nice people taking care of it. Monkeys on your balcony is a usual thing and iguanas and birds in the trees around make the place a bit of a paradise. The pool is tiny but very pleasant and taken care of.

It was a bit noisy. The noise from the Xcaret park nearby resides around 10 PM, but the noise from the road that is very near stays. Some people will need earplugs for sure.

Feels like a treehouse, and is very well located, only 20 mins from central Playa del Carmen. Beautiful jungle surroundings, too.

Nothing to do with the hotel here but just perils of staying in the actual jungle - we had parked our car in front of the hotel and woke up to it covered in poop. Guess some animal was sleeping in the tree above 😁

Super nice garden, beautiful room, comfy bed. Tough to find via Google maps, only thanks to instructions from the management we were able to find it. Still a bit difficult though

Street and amusement park nearby makes it pretty noisy especially on higher up floors.

The property and rooms are AMAZING!! Super beautiful, clean and well kept. The self check-in was super easy to manage. The location was great for us because it is ~15min from the center of Playa del Carmen, so far away enough from the crazyness, but if people are looking for more movement, this is not the place to stay.

The food was not great - we thought both dinner and breakfast were OK. The food for dinner was not local at all, with international dishes which were not well made.
