Very nice personal contact with the host 🙂 Everything what we need to spend the simple Basic night in the hostel is accessible here. Excellent localisation. But… the night before weekend was restless due to young rude barbarians making races on motorbikes through the whole old town. Terrible experience. Apart from the lack of the feeling of the safety the loud was tiring. They are doing it across hours. To be honest it should be the police issue. Whilst the hostel can’t stop them, I would like to let know potential guests about the case. Unfortunately I must make lower the final score…

The employee I interacted with was extremely welcoming, kind, funny and hospitable! The space was very clean, stylish, and my room was far better than expected... I had a private room and felt like I was in a little loft/treehouse overlooking the river, mountains and so much GREEN! The location was peaceful and walkable in the "old town" area, and was interesting that I felt like it was not very "touristy" at all.

I honestly am not sure what could be improved much... when you stay in a hostel, you expect to hear other's voices and people in the public areas. That was my only thing was having my room sort of above the outdoor patio area, but it really wasn't too bothersome... my room itself was so peaceful and outweighed this.

The room, the kitchen, the location overall were all great.

In our case, the bathroom was outside the room, but this was not explicitly detailed on the site, when choosing the room type. When booking, I could choose between 2 types of family rooms. I selected the standard family room, not the one with shared bathroom, but by the location we find out that all rooms are with shared bathroom. In the end, it was a nice experience overall, as there are more bathrooms on the floor, and all was so clean and pleasant environment.

I had a lovely stay! This is a small, single-family owned hostel, and consequently check in is from 3pm-8pm - there is no 24-hour reception like you'd expect in a big city hotel. But as long as you're aware of this, it was a delightful stay! I had a beautiful, quiet room to myself on the top floor, and it was so so quiet at night. When I opened the window, I could hear the river outside my window, and during the day the views were gorgeous. The owner was incredibly sweet and welcoming, and I enjoyed her homemade struklji for breakfast on the beautiful balcony, with a view of the river and the trees. Overall, a delightful and peaceful escape from Ljubljana.

This is a big beautiful home transformed into a hostel. Everything was spotless clean and you could have food and drinks on the ground floor, there is a nice big terrace. Our room had everything we needed, it was spacious and comfy. The location is perfect and this part of the city is very quiet bc there is no traffic (pedestrian zone). The hostess is an amazing person and her kids are the cutest! Hope we get a chance to come back to Kranj and Cukrarna!

This place is great. Stayed in a room for 6 and had some pretty good sleeps. The place itself is quiet and cozy, reflecting the location. Burat (I hope I'm writing his name correctly), the guy running the place in the evenings, is super chill. The lady in the morning there is super friendly too, i was able to check out early mo problem and the housekeeping lady is so warm, she really tried to converse with me in slovene even though I don't speak a lick of it and it was sweet. Lockers were definitely the best part, you basically get your own huge closet with a key so you don't have to worry about getting your own lock.

The bathroom situation was a bit tough, only one for the first floor but the 2nd floor had a larger space and is more shareable. The 1st floor one was pretty good though, shower, toilet, sink all to yourself - one person at a time. No real complaints tbh, especially with the price.

The staff was incredibly friendly from reception to bar, through cleaning staff. The location is wonderful, in the center of the old town. In the bar they serve delicious coffee and sweets. The balcony has a nice ambience. Overall a very nice experience, a place run by very kind people.

The walls (at least in the rooms with shared bathroom) are really thin. You can literally hear everything from the neighbouring room.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the location. My room offers a view of the mountains. There is also a shop and a bakery near the accommodation. Very pleasant service. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, no one snored. 😃 There are also restaurants with traditional dishes nearby.

I wanted to connect to the wifi later that evening, but there was no one there to show me the password. Quite a lot of people for one toilet and showers. You may have to wait a while. I couldn't reach the charger in the upper bed. I recommend a longer cable, if you have an upper bed.

One of the greatest hostels I've been to. Great place! Fully recommended! The staff is really helpful and friendly. The rooms and bathrooms are clean, new, and beautiful. There’s a big living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a terrace and a fascinating story about the building. Even though it was after the check-in time, the staff was waiting for me <3. Thank you! There was no issue with storing a bike inside. You can also try local food for breakfast.

I just loved it! The place looks very creative, the staff is great, welkoming and nice. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. Shared bathroom is super clean and has everything you need to have for comfy stay. I would recommend to onyone, mostly young travelers. The most beautiful view from terrace! Beautiful part of the city, next to the river.

The only thing that can bi tricky is parking, but Kranj is not very big, so the parking spot can be found relatively near the property.
