Hotel Actum is right in the middle of the Old Town. The property has parking for its guests. The Hotel Actum is WONDERFUL! Many comforts/conveniences and a lovely decor in a renovated 400 year old structure. The rooms are very spacious, as are the bathrooms. Lovely toiletries are provided as well. The included breakfast is bountiful, and coffee and tea are available 24/7. What I like most about the property are the staff members. Under the leadership of the knowledgeable, kind, and thoughtful Tatjana the staff ensure that one’s stay is exceptional.

Is it possible to celebrate St.Valentine the 16th of February? In this great boutique hotel the answer could be only one... :D This is one of the best structure I've ever been in my life. Years ago I have been in this hotel and the impression and the feeling have not been changed. The level, the standard are higher than before. I am not a simple tourist because I work in tourism as receptionist. The manager at the reception (Theresa) is a really good person and knows a lot of information about Kranj. The breakfast was hearty (sweet and savoury). Vito was very kind and have a bright future in tourism. The staff have helped me successfully with a particular request and is available for everything. The wine was excellent! Next time, I hope to have the possibility to book a Suite. Rolls-royce thema is awesome!

I don't think there are negative aspects/points.

Very polite and courteous staff. The lady at the reception/brekfast buffet. Had a few fun chats with her. Clear and concise instructions from the gentleman on the reception upon arrival. I was pleasantly surprised to see the hotel has a lot of pieces from older cars on the wall and is like a museum to walk through. Had I had more time, I would have liked to see more of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was generously spacious with a lot of amenities. You're in the town of Kranj, and it would be a great location for exploring around town. I wouldn't mind coming with my family and spending some time in Kranj.

This is more of a tip than a negative part. I came alone late in the night and the rain was pouring so I didn't see the e-mail instructions for parking, having made a late booking. This was totally my fault, and after calling, I got good instructions from the gentleman at the reception. You can park next to the hotel, and you need to drive through a pedestrian zone, so be prepared for tight streets and crawling speed. Due to the hard rain, I didn't see the parking lot really had more space than expected, so I parked in a real tight space. Here's hoping it helps someone when arriving here.

A mad family-run alpine style hotel with a theme of vintage cars. One of the friendliest hotels I’ve been anywhere. Unique. Wonderful hospitality and character. Centrally located. Great value for money. Nothing too much trouble. Everyone in good spirits. Room was very comfortable. I will go back there next time.

In the room, there are a lot of things with glowing lights that can make it difficult to sleep sometimes.

Location right in the pedestrian zone was fantastic. Parking onsite. Huge room with a very comfortable bed, mini bar, and a full size jacuzzi hot tub in the room (unfortunately I wasn’t aware of this in advance & 24 hours notice was needed to actually use it). Host at reception was friendly and incredibly helpful. She called around to find a good restaurant that would allow us to take our dog, then gave us directions to get there. Breakfast was excellent, lots of variety of hot and cold items. Fabulous coffee! Would definitely stay here again.

TV was dated and without internet capability. Most of the channels wouldn’t work. Hotel did comp us for this, so not really a complaint, but it would benefit them to upgrade in the future.

Both hosts of Hotel Actum were very friendly and welcoming to us on our arrival, especially as we arrived quite early in the day. They provided great recommendations of places to see around Kranj. The room itself was very spacious and luxurious, including a huge bathroom. And the whole hotel has a fascinating opulent feel to it. The buffet selection for breakfast was extensive and delicious.

Staff are exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located in the old town centre. Kranj is nice in a quiet way but might be a bit too quiet for some. The old town is pretty albeit clearly in need of some revitalisation. It is definitely well located for day trips into the Alps as well as to the famous caves in the south of Slovenia. There are interesting little galleries (mostly free) and the castle museum is well presented and worth seeing. The town seems to be full of nice people who enjoy a chat.

if you're after a vibrant, buzzing old town, you might not find it here. Kranj has a lot of potential but it's certainly more on the quiet side. It can be surprisingly difficult to find a place that does any food at all. Quite a contrast to its "big sister" Ljubljana. I personally enjoyed the quiet walks around town though. The gorge is certainly unexpected and quite something to see.

Very spacious for the price. We even have a jacuzzi in our room. The staff, Vito, is very friendly and always smiling. He is also very helpful. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was big and awesome.

Parking was very hard to find and they put a brick near the entrance which I didn’t see when reversing and hit my car. The bed upholstery was very old and peeling off. The drainage was not working very well during shower.

Big comfy room and jacuzzi. Great breakfast and top hospitality. The bathroom was big and clean. This boutique hotel was special as it brings you the old times atmosphere. The staff was accomodating and very helpful.

Jacuzzi starts heating in the middle of the night even though we put the lowest water temp and had the cover on.
