Our stay here was fabulous. The location was walking distance to the center of town and chooses of restaurants. The room was comfortable. The furniture, flooring and bathroom were clearly updated or renovated. Bathroom was big and the rain shower was great! The owner Sasha/Sa^sa is so nice and helpful with ideas on places to visit and drives through villages/country side. She also guided us to the urgent care when I got sick and needed medical attention. The breakfast was amazing -so many choices of foods and Sasha made whatever kind of eggs your heart desired. Coffee and teas are available all day long.

Absolutely nothing

We chose Vila Loka because the location was convenient to both Ljubljana and Bled. At the time we didn't realize how charming Sofja Loka itself would be. It was such a pleasure to walk into town each morning for a coffee and then again in the evening to enjoy the free summer concerts in the square. The reviews all are true... Everything at Vila Loka was comfy and clean and we enjoyed breakfast every day. The lofted apartment was perfect for two adults and a teenager. Thank you for thinking of everything - even great bathroom lighting.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a small and well equipped kitchen on each floor of the building.

Temperature of rooms is managed by in-floor heat and temperature individual rooms cannot be changed by the occupants. My room was much too hot (28 degrees) and I could only bring the heat down by opening windows. That made it noisy when other guests were having long and loud conversations at the table under my window, most mornings at 5:00 am

The rooms very nice and modern. I liked the interior design of the hotel and rooms. The hosts were super friendly and on arriving in rain on a motorcycle immediately came out to point me to a garage (though there's only one space in it, more parking available outside of the garage). They also inquired if I would need to dry something, but I declined as I managed to stay dry. Hosts were always very friendly. Breakfast was nice as well. Would for sure recommend.

I totally recomand it! The host, Sasha, is wonderful, she waited for us even if we arrived very late. The room was perfect, very modern and new, it is smelling like fresh wood, very clean, you have a mini fridge and you have the opportunity to taste some local wines and drinks, parking is free. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of chooses, fresh fruits also. It was the best accommodation we had in Slovenia! Bonus:the house is located in a chic mountain village!

I travel a lot throughout the world and stay in anything from tribal huts in the middle of a jungle to 5-star hotels around the world. This place gets right on top of my stay-over experiences. The owners are beyond nice, the design is great, rooms are super comfortable and done to the highest standard. You basically stay in a 5-star hotel where you feel at home and pay a motel price. It's a pearl in the world of hospitality.

The fact that I couldn't stay longer. I hope I will be back there soon.

The staff was super nice and the facilities were very modern and clean. The hotel was also very close to the center itself, which was very interesting and with breathtaking nature all around.

The only thing I'd say is notable that you can hear people in rooms nearby from time to time but everyone was mindful of the time so it wasn't an issue.

Our room, ground floor, was facing the parking lot and it was not possible to open the windows without being seen by everybody passing by, It was also a bit noisy due to the location. The rooms on the other end are much better.

Located centrally in the center of town, Hotel Vila Loka has old school charm but with modern amenities. The hotel is newly constructed but has retained the old school vibe. The host is welcoming and everything about the place exceeds expectations. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable.

Very friendly and accomodating owner. Nice breakfast buffet with typical homemade pastries. They offered free coffee all day long! The doors all opened with numeric codes, so no keys to keep track of.

Our apartment for 4 people was a little small, because the larger ones were booked. But we were still comfortable.
