Furniture and fittings is royal, too exquisite-more like your 5 star hotel. Everything is well placed in the room, from kitchen, bathroom. Parking, wifi, big screen tv etc. It is a very safe place, the manager made sure we had everything we needed, allowing flexibilty in her service offering. The fact that it is about 8km from town makes it even more ideal, serene and refreshing. Its more than what we bargained for. I would do it again should I come this side again.

EVERYTHING! Ever been met with a host that checks up on whether you ate? I found that to be very considerate and thoughtful of Marianne. The place is beyond beautiful, better than it is on pictures. Super quiet and so tranquil. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some quiet time off just to relax and be with nature. I was welcomed warmly by the host, and I must say her communication etiquette is out of this world and she also shared clear instructions pertaining to the access and logistics. I always appreciate a host that cares about one's comfort, safety and convenience. She was reachable at a click of a button and that for me was appreciated. I stayed in the executive suite :)

Nothing to change but just a heads up for those travelling to the location, there is a 1.5 km worth of gravel road. A bit rough for a low built car but nothing to hold you back from visiting this beautiful place.

This is one of the nicest places to stay in Bloemfontein. Very upmarket and thoughtfully designed. Equipped with the best appliances and wants. This will be my number one choice for Bloem. Value for money for sure!

The braai room was smelly (due to someone using it for a braai) - so cannot blame the establishment although I couldn’t use that part of the unit. I guess generally this will not be an issue…after-all, it is the braai area

The unit is neat and tidy with very nice fittings and high end appliances. A big screen TV is a pleasant addition too. A range of coffee options allows for a pleasant start to the day. The area is very quiet, which allows one to get decent rest. Bed is comfortable, with decent linen. Shower heats up immediately when running the water. I would recommend this accommodation to business travellers as well as couples who are visiting Bloemfontein.

A way to prevent light from entering the unit at the kitchenette in the morning would be a ideal.

Everything about the house, welcoming drinks, the clean house and very comfortable bads. Even the area is peaceful. The check in was very easy, the staff were friendly... uhhh how can I forget the Nespresso 🤪 woow we had a great stay with my family at the guesthouse

The fact that I booked a suite that was already booked, but we managed to solve the problem thankx to Silma...

The facilities, the cleanliness, the location, staff friendliness, and the tranquility far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I would certainly recommend the guest house to any traveler.

The fact that online booking does not have an option for selecting rooms, e.g. when travelling with family. My wife and I were booked far away (Executive Room 1 & Premium Room 1) from from our little children of ages 7 & 10.

The accomodation was lovely- everything you could need for an overnight stay. The staff in particular were WONDERFUL! We enjoyed the very large space- plenty of room for two people.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. However, the bathroom door would not close. It kept opening and there was no way to lock it in place.

It’s in an excellent part of Bloemfontein, close to the N1 with some lovely restaurants close by too. But its beauty is its quiet when you there which makes you feel like you on a farm outside Bloem. The room is super large and very comfortable. Barry, who was our host was excellent and very helpful even before we arrived.

I assume the property is very new, so things like wifi still needs to be sorted for the TV entertainment, but sure Barry will sort this out quickly.

Everything was seamless, you get a message detailing all you gonna need, keys by the door. Access code to the gate given in advance. Place and facilities are really awesome. it is quite a peaceful place (its location) ,

I just struggled to get the right shower water temperature - but once i read the instructions provided - all worked well.

Home away from home. Great location and our room was clean, neat and bigger than expected. Staff were friendly and helpfull, especially Silma, who welcomed us and made us feel at home. Would highly recommend Summer Palace

Maybe an umbrella or two for a bit of shade at the seating areas at the back of the rooms?
