It was a great stay.I very much enjoyed it, everything was very comfortable and clean. There wasn't too much noise. It was close to all the main attractions. The rooms also had an air conditioning, which is a must have in summer for me and the rooms were quite bog as well, which I really appreciated. My room had a balcony which was quite lovely and the other room i booked had a window seat, it was incredibly cute. I definitely would stay here again, I enjoyed it very much!

The only thing I did not like was that there was no plug point next to the bed.

The beds are extremely comfortable and clean, the showers are big, the area is quiet. The staff is very friendly.. In all cases we had to travel from afar and got there either too late or around midnight. there is always someone there to assist us. and they cater to halaal in which my colleague and I absolutely appreciate. the food also was really great. It's our go to place when we stay the night in Durban.

If we can have a clothing iron and ironing board for each room it would be great. Having to go to the storage area after to get it from there in the morning is a bit tricky.

The venue was good and the location.The staff were reasonably friendly.It was easy to get in and out of the hotel and the parking was good.

I was under the impression that breakfast was standard for all bookings.This would be obvious for people looking at the adverts at a glance.Please state your bookings as standard without breakfast.Please then state the booking with breakfast and the additional cost.Anyone reading your advertised bookings would be misled by the way you present it.The lighting in my room wasn't great.I reported the light wasn't working but nobody attended to the complaint.The bathroom doors in both my children's and my room was stuck and hard to open and close.Apart from the above complaints our stay was pleasant.

Staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful at any time of the day. Room was great and comfortable large bed. Lovely big breakfast and the kitchen staff are A+ with great personalities and service. Would definitely recommend this guest house.

Only suggestion is that the carpet and the shower wall in our guest room could do with a full cleaning for the stains. Because the shower is open plan in the room, the steam and hot air created a bit of a musty smell in the room when we first walked in. Switching on the aircon however can solve that problem easily. I think there should also be a bell or sensor that alerts reception when you pull up at the front gate. Small changes, but not necessarily bad as the overall stay was amazing. These are merely pointers for future improvement.

Mostly did not have the breakfast...... coffee was mostly required.

while I appreciated the requirement of Halaal and local cultural requirements, this was not evident before actual booking and does not take into account foreign visitors ( My guest that I booked this place for was from Canada). Please highlight this upfront before booking is finalised.

Delicious breakfast, worth the splurge despite despite being a bit overpriced.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel and loved most facilities, however I wished the wifi could connect to the internet on the TV so we could have access to things like YouTube. Additionally, while the cupboards were charming and matched the theme of the hotel,they appeared slightly outdated and could potentially be refreshed. Overall a wonderful stay

My stay at St James on Venice was delightful. The staff were friendly and the amenities were great!!

The one issue that I did not like was that I was given room no.4 which is located downstairs and next to the reception area. On most of the mornings it was quite noisy with staff chatting with ach other from around 7am.

The room was clean and bed comfier than the hotels in Umhlanga. Sbu is very helpful and friendly.

There was a plumbing issue in another room, but they don't have taps on the main feed pipes to each room therefore the entire water supply had to be shut off for the repair inconveniencing everyone. Unfortunately we happened to be in Durban on a cold weekend and the heater on the aircon unit wasn't working.

the property is a Victorian home turned into a boutique hotel , the staff were Superb in attending to all the requests. The bed was super comfy , enjoyed the Breakfast on demand , which is an ala-carte breakfast that satisfied my needs. location was great for my needs and type of work. will return back for sure.

Outside garden needed some attention , and some touch ups needed in the room.
