We enjoyed the spacious of the room and it’s clean and the nice view either toward the garden or toward the lake. The breakfast was very nice well organised and well served

During our stay there was no water in the toilet for two days. while we understand this issue is not within the hand of the hotel. The management has dealt with this very poorly. During this issue which last for two nights there was no compliment services nor there is any offering to address the issue. Rather than sticking with our previous planning to stay for two nights in the hotel, we ended up spending most of the time outside the hotel because there wasn’t any water in the pipeline.

The hotel itself is beautiful, with well-maintained rooms and a lovely pool/garden area. My room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, offering a great view of the pool and garden. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety to choose from, ensuring there was something for everyone. The hydrotherapy area by the spa was a highlight. It was relaxing, well-maintained, and offered a great way to unwind. The staff, in general, were friendly and welcoming, making an effort to provide a positive experience.

Despite the friendliness of the staff, there seemed to be some communication issues between the bar, reception, and management, which led to slow service at times, particularly in the bar and lounge areas. The spa prices felt a bit high for what was offered, which may not be ideal for everyone. The air conditioning in my room was not very effective. Even with the temperature set to 12°C, the room didn’t seem to cool down as expected.

I found the buffet to be a little disappointing. For a venue so superb, and a hotel so beautiful, the options were so typical, it was underwhelming. The basics were all there, but I would have expected an elevated experience. The staff however, are exceptional. From housekeeping, reception, the front of house guys who brought in our luggage, breakfast waiters - everyone was exceptionally helpful, informative and just so friendly and pleasant. It was also my partners birthday and the hotel surprised him with a sweet treat which was awesome.

The buffet needs an upgrade to include a more elevated experience.

The hotel itself was beautiful, and the check-in process was seamless thanks to the friendly and efficient staff. Our room was spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a very enjoyable stay. One of the highlights was the access to the sauna and spa area, which was a fantastic addition, and the large pool with its water feature provided a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere.

It felt like there weren’t enough staff available, particularly in the restaurant, bar, and pool areas. During dinner, our wine was served almost halfway through the meal, which was disappointing. At breakfast, we didn’t receive our coffee until after we had already finished eating. Additionally, the checkout process was a little slow, which was frustrating. While the hotel had many great features, these service issues made it feel like it might not have been worth the price we paid.

I had a lagoon view room which was a lovely size with every amenity needed. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom spacious and very clean. It was lovely to have a large selection of teas . Breakfast was excellent. Absolutely everything was fresh and tasty. Superb choice of everything anyone would want. The fruit was exceptional and very nicely prepared with nothing ever empty. I had room service one evening and that arrived quickly and again was very nicely prepared. The reception staff were welcoming and friendly. I would like to particularly mention Nomfundo, and Valalisa I had a wonderful massage at the spa and enjoyed sitting around the pool in the garden where again the staff were excellent. The golf course was in great condition and we enjoyed a lovely 18 holes. All in all a wonderful short break and we will definitely be back.

The bread rolls with the evening meal are terrible. Taste like cotton wool! The bread at breakfast is excellent so maybe change to a decent sour dough or ciabatta roll. Literally the only thing I could fault. I have my own small hotel so am very fussy!

We had the most amazing anniversary getaway at Arabella Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the warm hospitality and world-class service. A very special shoutout to Limpho, who truly went above and beyond to make our stay feel extra special — her kindness and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. The food was absolutely delicious — every meal was a delight, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. We also thoroughly enjoyed the live band, which brought an extra layer of magic. The only part that didn’t quite meet my expectations was the spa experience. Unfortunately, the room was situated right above the halfway house, and the noise from the golfers made it difficult to relax and fully immerse myself in the serene atmosphere I was hoping for. Despite that, the overall experience was exceptional, and we left with full hearts and beautiful memories. We’d absolutely return.

The room overlooking the lagoon was aesthetically pleasing. The bed was extremely comfortable and attention to detail contributed to the luxurious comfort. A stroll down to the conference venue and we were treated to creative thought-provoking artwork displayed, and feeding of the mind and the soul. Dinner at Jamani with a view of the lagoon was a gastronomical tongue-talizing experience, and a gleeful taste explosion as we savoured the most flavour-some, tender pork belly and a crackling with a twist. The chocolate fondant a heavenly delight and the added crunch and smooth ice-cream, would more than satisfy the dessert gods. The chefs, waitrons and host (Tessa and Jay-C) at dinner at Jamani, created a wonderful dining encounter, and the visual presentation of the food, pure art. The very thoughtful receptionist who assisted when we checked-in, enquired as to whether there was an occasion and a quick mention that it was a Birthday celebration, pleasantly and surprisingly resulted in a personalised platter of dessert heaven, and a further work of art, awaiting us in our bedroom. Perfectly poached eggs, succulent fresh salmon, and warm delicious scones at breakfast to start off the day overlooking the cascading pool. Thank you to all staff who added to our very delightful stay, and Refiloe, we definitely will visit again.

Fantastic breakfast on offer. Cereals, fruit, fried breakfast, croissants and breads. Staff cleared away dirty plates and happy to bring cappcino or hot chocolate. We also dined in the restaurant one night and I had a great rib eye steak, lots of choice on the menu, and a comprehensive wine list. First introduction to Dom Pedros, a great alternative to a dessert. The room was large and airy. We had a view over the lagoon and could sit on our balcony and enjoy a glass of wine there, or on the various terraces in the main areas. Plenty of walks within the gated estate and a lovely walk along the Lagoon path taking you back to the hotel. I went out with my friend in the golf cart, whilst he had a round, and a really beautiful golf course. Close to Kleinmond and Hermanus. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Appreciated the staff overall. From security who welcomed us at the entrance (we checked in around 1pm on 7th September. At the door, the porter welcomed us with warm towels and water which was great. The trainee was warm, friendly and welcoming, she did a great job for her first day. Her manager, not so much, rather clinical, stern and professional. Wendy at the travel desk was also very friendly, however the bikes need servicing. One handle grip is completely loose and the back wheel of the other bike needs to be reset. Spa was helpful and welcoming, as well as the housekeeping staff and room service. Dinner was great our server was very attentive. Breakfast was good, Checkout was standard Overall a good stay Thank you

Reception management can do admin at the back office. On checkout two admin staff was clearly busy with none guest related admin and resulted in no greeting or acknowledging on checkout, was rather cold and dismissive.
