I thoroughly loved the serenity, the decor was amazing, the grounds felt like a retreat in the midst of a city. After what was a lovely stay in Capetown for me, to come here was just so lovely. The food was top notch. The people exceeded expectation. I felt truly well looked after by everyone I engaged with. I lost my data so I’ve forgotten some of the names but I recall Charlotte I think from the restaurant at breakfast. I enjoyed lovely conversations with her amidst great service. Another lady at reception, a manager I think was just amazing, we took some photos and videos as I left to go back home. It was such a memorable stay. Amazing people. Amazing property.

What’s not to like. 😄Perhaps having to check out. I even extended my stay and yet i was sad to leave.

Loved almost everything about the place besides the staff by the spa, very disappointing

The staff at the spa, when booking the spa they didn’t give us more information about it, like the rooms outside.. when we got there, they didn’t give us a tour like most spa’s usually do but funny enough when we were by the pool we saw another lady giving another couple a tour, strange. I had to ask where the pool was and they didn’t even take me to the pool, they just directed me and told me I won’t miss it. Worst experience by the spa

I recently stayed at the Fairlawns, a 5-star hotel, for Valentine's Day and I'm beyond impressed. The cleanliness of the rooms was top-notch, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere right from the start. The food deserves a special mention; it was fresh, full of flavor, and a real highlight of our stay. The service at Fairlawns was exceptional—staff were attentive and went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Everything felt personalized and catered to our needs, making our Valentine's celebration extra special. The attention to detail in every aspect of their service really sets Fairlawns apart. I'm giving it a 9 out of 10, simply because perfection is hard to claim, but Fairlawns comes very close. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxurious and romantic getaway.

We loved the decor and beautiful gardens Comfortable bed. We loved the way the Reception staff welcomed us ( made us feel welcomed) My husband loved the way they accommodated the smokers. Clean and private smoking areas

The service from the restaurant was not up to standard. No waitress to assist We had to ask for menus. Get the salt and pepper ourself Get up and ask for assistance as we felt forgotten

Amazing weekend getaway. Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The property on which the hotel is set is very serene and peaceful. it made me forgot I was in Joburg. Would highly recommend for solo travellers, couples, families too :)

Place could do with some sprucing up, property is updating certain rooms, hope they get to all of them soon.

Please please do listen / read the constructive comments, and do action those. The gym is beyond outdated. Cross trainer does not work, the weights are all rusty, feels like they are falling apart. And lots of dumbbells missing. So much space, it just needs a little TLC and investment.

The fact that I forget, I forget I am in GP, I love the Gardens and high walls.

Having to pay for the hotel Shuttle after paying so much money for accommodation, at least , you should give this service for free but ofcoz for certain KM radius.

Perfect Location The food was amazing, big ups to the chefs, friendly staff members, everyone is always willing to assist you Tranquility is out of this world, it felt like heaven on earth.

The coffee station leaves much to be desired- must have instant coffee The coffee pods are not suitable for a 5 star establishment. The Pod quality to the coffee machine is below a 3 star ? sad that one wakes up in a 5 star establishment only to be disappointed by the first cup of coffee ?
