We had a wonderful stay! The breakfast offered a fantastic variety, catering to all tastes. The location was ideal, just a short walk from the famous waterfront and main road, making it convenient to explore the area. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. Dinner was a highlight, with delicious dishes and a personal touch from the chef and staff checking in to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel for a delightful stay!

The staff are really amazing, especially in the restaurant. The aircon in the room worked perfectly as well so that was great. The room itself the size and decor also a 10/10.

The location of the room was the only let down, I'm not sure when the room was assigned but it's not a great location. If at the time of my booking, i had seen this view I would've definitely paid for a better view. The other let down was that the towels had a bit of a damp smell to them, but the linen didn't have that so that was ok. My hairdryer didn't work either and I actually wanted to use it but it wasn't a train smash but would've been nice.

Hi. Very lovely hotel . Location was perfect and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable. The only problem was that the walls are not sound proofed, So be careful not to get too excited walking down the corridor, lol . 🤪 The breakfast was well selected with a variety of good healthy food. They even catered breakfast for the knysna marathon Also organized for us a shuttle to take us to the taxi station. Thank you so much Rex Hotel. The staff were absolutely fantastic. My parents were staying here and when there was a medical emergency the staff, particularly the two receptionists on duty that evening and the security guard, were super helpful and the manager even personally brought them home from the hospital at around 2am. The staff went above and beyond! Room and facilities were nice and modern. Breakfasts were good. Location relative to main Knysna area is perfect. Many things in walking distance.

Can't praise the whole experience enough. Very good location. Good size room and bathroom with tea and coffee making facilities and refrigerator. Charming efficient staff. Good breakfast selection with happy service. Our evening meal with friends exceeded our expectations. Value for money and quality was superb and the chefs visit to the table showed how much they wanted us to enjoy the evening. Better than many so called 'fine dining' restaurants. A very big thank you for a great stay.

The staff and the room was clean.

I recently stayed at the Aha Rex Hotel, and while the room was lovely and the staff very friendly, I was extremely disappointed with the meal. I ordered prawns and calamari, and it was awful. The prawns were crumbed and as hard as crisps, while the calamari was rubbery and tasteless. For R600, I expected much better. What made it worse was that the chef didn’t even offer to replace the meal after we raised the issue. This lack of care really soured my experience, and I won’t be returning for a meal anytime soon.

Beautiful hotel conveniently situated close to the waterfront and restaurants. The standard double room was comfortable and spacious, with added features such as a coffee station and wi-fi. We were very pleased with the variety of breakfast options and had a delicious dinner at the Saltwater Bistro. The staff were friendly and service exceptional.

Luckily it was a cold evening, so we didn't require air-conditioning - which was out of order. My only recommendation would be to offer a in-room menu/ scan code for room service and a adaptor for the hairdryer.

All I can say is Wow, wow, wow,wow… The hotel is a central area close to everything nearby including restaurants at the waterfront. Their staff is the best, from the receptionist to the chef 🔥🔥🔥… I asked them last minute to prepare a birthday surprise for my partner and they delivered. My partner was so happy and i was pleased with how they made things turn out. I had the best time at your hotel, thank you and it’s a very nice place. I definitely will visit again 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏

The hotel is situated in a great central location in Knysna, only a couple of minutes walk from the waterfront. The room was modern, clean and great value for money. The reception staff were very welcoming and accommodating.

The breakfast was very limited - even though breakfast is served until 10am, at 9am there were no eggs, etc, left and once the food was gone it was not replenished. Additionally, when hot drinks were ordered at breakfast, they took 15/20 mins to arrive when you’d finished eating even though there was only a few other people in the restaurant.

The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated. There was sufficient necessities in the rooms such as towels, soap, coffee etc. The rooms were cleaned well for the duration of our stay. The staff was also very friendly and super helpful. The breakfast was also good with lots of options you can have for breakfast.

The a la carte menu for dinner can be improved. It did not take away from the overall experience of my stay
