The accommodation was very spacious with everything we needed for our two night stay. Everything was clean and fresh linen and towels provided. Attention to detail with all the things one might need in order to have a comfortable stay. I loved how peaceful it was and how cosy the apartment felt. We stayed in Sunbird which felt like a little hidden cabin in a lush forest. Our host Henriette was just lovely and super easy to communicate with if needed. Check in and out was a breeze! Wish we could have stayed longer! Also loved the location being central but also far away enough from the busy N2 and shops. We will definitely be back when in Knysna again without a doubt!

The property was very clean. I was impressed with the number of wall hooks in the bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped, including a coffee plunger, new gas stove and oven, as well as back-up load shedding lights and inverter. The bathroom fittings are new and in great condition. They also provided a Weber, together with charcoal.

The invertor comes on at night and is a bit noisy, but Henriette did point this out when we arrived, and closing the bedroom door resolved the problem. The cabins are wood, and one can hear guests in other units moving on the wooden floors, but it was not major concern.

The accommodation is truly magnificent: all wood, nestled in lush vegetation filled with plants and flowers, not to mention the stunning view of the lagoon. The chalet is spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. Our host was available and friendly. I highly recommend this establishment.

There are steep slopes and stairs between the parking and the accommodation. This should be taken into account when booking, especially for elderly or disabled people.

The view is absolutely spectacular. The cabin was made of logs and had everything you could need supplied and was situated in a garden with mature trees and shrubs, which provides absolute privacy from the other cabins on the property. The hosts were also fantastic as were the other staff. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra blankets should it turn cold.

The only thing that could be a slight problem for inexperienced drivers was the steep driveway, but to my mind, this addes to the charm of the place.

We loved everything for our 2 night stay. Just a tip, very steep parking space but the owners are great with giving you tips on how to pull in and out of the driveway.

In summary, our visit to the Big Tree House was an unforgettable experience, thanks to the wonderful setting, excellent amenities, and the host's outstanding hospitality. Navigating the steep slope to the secure parking was an adventure in itself.

Beautiful location and view onto the lagoon. Hugely spacious, dry nicely appointed and a superbly comfortable bed. We only used one bedroom but it would be an excellent stay for a family with two very good double bedrooms and a big twin room. A nice touch was the provision of a BBQ (braai) with charcoal. Coffee on the balcony in the morning looming over the lagoon was great for the soul. 😁

Our favourite place we stayed in South Africa! Beautiful chalet with views of Knysna, very spacious and had all the amenities we needed. Attention to detail was fantastic, with plenty of toiletries, linen, battery lamps for loadshedding, great Wi-Fi that never cut out. Felt very private and secure and the hosts were absolutely wonderful and had great recommendations for our stay. Check in and communication was great. Quick drive into town centre and parking was secure and spacious. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

A bit steep, also within the facility. So gou need a car with some extra power. Tbey claim to dry your towels for yku wben it is wet outside and drying outside is not possible. But in practise they do not this. Then better not to promise, than promise and do not deliver. There is a kind of apparatus to control the electricity in the room for the tv which regulsrly makes a lot of noice.

The property was very spacious and had a beautiful view. Everything about this place was very good. They had smart Tv so you can watch Netflix. The owners were very friendly n helpful. It was a comfortable stay apart from the cold weather. The housekeeping was daily . This property is on the other side of waterfront area but not too far just a 10min drive away. There were supermarkets n restaurants nearby as well.

The parking is bit uphill and tricky. But I feel the whole town is like that. Secondly I felt the heaters should be more effective for the cold weather… it would have been cozier for us.
