Our overnight stay on the way to Kruger National Park was a great pit stop! The accommodation was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the convenient location, which allowed us to rest and refuel before continuing our journey. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and we enjoyed a hearty meal to recharge. This was exactly what we needed after a long drive – a chance to relax and get a good night's sleep. If you're passing through and need a place to break up your journey to Kruger, this is a solid option. We'll definitely consider it again for future trips!

The staff are among the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are always happy to assist, with a genuine smile. They are the most valuable assets of this hotel. Breakfast was fantastic. So much choice catering to even the fussiest of eaters. My 14 year old son being one. It's very rare to get him interested in breakfast, but he absolutely loved it. Beds were super comfortable to sleep on, with great quality bedding and pillows. Excellent air con. Great size room. We needed help with luggage, as we had a lot, since this was just a stay over on a longer journey. I think 3 people helped in total. They were so helpful and kind. I then needed some paperwork printing, which again, they very happily did for me at no cost.

The bathroom in our room could do with refurbishing. Everything works, but it just looked a little tired, with paint missing and mismatched screws in door handles. The shower water pressure is also way below the standards you would expect in a 4 star hotel. You can't sit up in bed (which I love to do with a coffee in the morning) as the bed isn't attached to the headboard and slowly slides away from the wall. These are very minor niggles that don't detract from a wonderful experience.

Everything at the property was great to be honest

I didn’t like the fact that the staff assumed we spoke seswati or isizulu, the chef at the breakfast station ignored my child and another child when they were in line for eggs because they didn’t respond when she spoke to them in her language but they don’t understand her, she proceeded to assist other people in the line and I intervened stating if you see them stare at you why not speak English Atleast,

The price was outstanding for the value. Nice restaurant on the premises for dinner and breakfast. Superb food. A gas station is next door and convenient. The staff was particularly friendly. Parking was great and next to the room.

A bit difficult to find the first time. It needs some signs added to the outside. No stores or eating facilities nearby. A place that requires a car.

I liked the breakfast, the rooms, the pool and the rooms where clean no ants and no cockroaches. Great receptionist very patient young lady.

There was a leak in the shower 319 when you open the shower, there was no foam bath. The dinner was not value for money, should have more variety, more delicious food, more main course and dessert. These are minor things that you can work on

Staff attitude and willingly to help however the administration specifically the finance or refund section are a whole disappointment as Zim still waiting for my money to date(26th September 2023) I cannot tell what Innocentia did to process my refund as she couldn't tell me exactly when I asked her days before my arrival, instead she asked for more information that was useless as Joyce used the same information I 2 provided weeks ago. Special thank you to zvincent and Mercy for their outstanding support and time to attend to us, we highly appreciate that. The facility is clean.

We were sleeping in a room with a dysfunctional toilet however we got to be moved on our last day. Dining room is way too small to accommodate the guests as I had to wait almost 30minutes and then moved from one table to wait again as it was already given to someone else. Lack 9f transparency in terms of the amount charged as there was additional tourist levy added of which I think it will be better to notify clients on time about it. Swimming pool also too small to accommodate clients.

Very nice and clean hotel. Breakfast and dinner options are great, staff is very friendly. Hotel perfectly situated near the highway and central Nelspruit and reasonable pricing. All in all we had a great stay there, albeit only for one night. We can recommend staying at Protea Nelspruit.

For a longer stay probably rather small room. Also keeping the breakfast options stocked was not perfect, new croissants were not provided for approx. 30mins.

The reception staff were friendly, and the welcoming drinks were a nice touch.

We were traveling as a family, and there was no one available to help us with our luggage. We had a large suitcase, and we needed to walk up the stairs. Additionally, since it was our first time there, we were not informed about the location of the facilities, such as restaurant, pool area and bar.

The beds are in excellent condition.

After a disappointing dinner with our first stay, the manageress on duty took our complaint very seriously and gave us a gift voucher for refund of the meal. We chose the voucher and with our dinner on our second stay, the food was exceptional and the service was great

The room was neat and tidy and it felt very homey. The receptionist was very friendly and helped me to check in quick. I checked in after hours and still had no problems. I would highly recommend this destination for anyone.

Not applicable. There was nothing I would complain about. The service was exceptional, even thou the hotel is not very modern, there was nothing that was not up to standard.
