Casa Cara Guesthouse provided a fantastic stay with several highlights worth mentioning. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the spacious bath added a touch of luxury to our experience. We also appreciated the privacy, as the layout ensures minimal interaction with other guests, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfasts were well-balanced, offering a variety of delicious options to kickstart the day. The friendly and attentive staff made the stay even more enjoyable with their warm hospitality. One of the standout features was the free access to the resort just outside of town, which added extra value and made exploring the area even more convenient. Overall, Casa Cara is a wonderful choice for anyone seeking comfort, privacy, and excellent service. Highly recommended!

While our stay at Casa Cara Guesthouse was enjoyable overall, there were a few minor setbacks. Upon entering the room, we experienced some power cuts, which was a bit inconvenient. However, reception promptly informed us about the issue and offered solutions, so it wasn’t a major problem—just a slight setback. Another concern was that our room showed signs of water damage, which left a slight odor. While this didn’t ruin the experience, it was noticeable. Additionally, although the beds were very comfortable, the mattress was smaller than the base. Unfortunately, my wife misjudged the size and accidentally hurt her toe on the leg of the bed. These issues were relatively minor, but addressing them would certainly improve the experience for future guests.

I liked the friendly receptionist and the comfy beds. The shower was also good. It was lovely to have air conditioning in such hot weather.

The floorboards need some replacing/repair. Bigger and softer towels would be nice. The breakfast definitely needs some improvements in terms of size, quantity and presentation - it was disappointing.

You got what you paid for. The facility was clean, the room spacious. The breakfast was good. The staff was helpful. My vehicle was parked in a safe environment. The area is quite despite the main road into Parys being only 150m away.

I would like a bean to cup coffee in the morning, instant coffees is not my thing. Other than that there was nothing not to like.

Lovely guest house, with amazing staff Amo and the team are amazing. Room is very comfortable with everything you need to make your stay memorable. Great value for money too.

One down light in the room was loose and hanging out, plug in the bath didn't seal properly, but both are very minor issues.

We were so warmly welcomed by Merle at the front desk- who was so sweet and kind . She assisted us in where to go & what to do & it was most hospitable. The room was luxurious and very comfortable- we were in a room at the back so we did not hear any traffic- as it is on the main road into Parys. It was so convenient having a microwave & a fridge for all our requirements. The shower is a treat! The breakfast was very generous. The establishment took cognizance of our dietary requirements & we really were most grateful. There was no choice of what you wanted but the food was tasty and well prepared. Melissa- the owner was a pleasure to meet & it is wonderful to hear of the plans to upgrade the establishment. We had a delightful stay & will definitely book at this establishment again.

The swimming pool needs updating as well as possible comfy loungers or chairs to enjoy outside. It would be more convenient if there was some way of contacting the front desk from the room instead of having to walk there to ask for assistance.

The breakfast was sufficient, but was effectively the same on both days. Would have liked a little more choice and perhaps a cereal breakfast option as well. The swimming pool was welcome and well maintained. The rooms were good and sufficiently large, and great that there was a fridge, and also a little light provided for the load shedding.

When there was load shedding there was no water at all for bathing. This appears to be a problem with the town of Parys rather than just this establishment. Perhaps buckets of water could have been provided to assist in washing when the water was off. A generator would have been nice for the establishment to assist with basic electrical needs during the 4 hour power outages.

The place was very clean and beautifully decorated- the staff are friendly and always available to assist- I’m definitely going back to that place The place is also peaceful

They were not able to cater for my breakfast need as a vegetarian- they need to improve in terms of understanding the needs for other dietary requirements

It took a while to check in after hours. Confusion about which gate to use (check this before you go, because there are 5 gates) The number to be used for after hours was not answered later on when we had questions about the electricity Load shedding was a bit of a downer.. But the generator is used at certain times of the day Lots of musquitos in the room, take your own Musquito repellant.

The hospitality was good, they really know how to take care of guests. The room was big and clean

The property is right off main road which was giving city vibes. I prefer property that is in the inside, hidden. Also the pool was not working and it was hot.

The English breakfast was delicious and made just the way we wanted! The rooms and the whole facility were modern, spotless, and very cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help. Plus, the location is right in the heart of everything, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas.
