Room No 8 & the grounds: A beautiful, tranquil garden, private & seemingly safe. Professional staff. Comfortable bed & aircon, somewhat spacious. An acceptable breakfast.

Room No 8: The private ''Stoep' area has no lights. Next door, there's a garden refuse area (no problem, I love compost), but the door is not locked (with windy conditions it went 'to & fro', banging constantly against the walls & impossible to close). The room:, cracks in the foundation & one of the lightbulbs were obsolete. The shower head has calcification & it is tricky to control the temperature. With breakfast: You'd expect that clients would first be asked how their eggs should be prepared, instead we did not seem to have a choice... scrambled eggs you shall have with extremely tough bacon.. I suspect it was not the kitchen's fault, but an instruction to get things done quickly as we had a late breakfast

The venue is immaculately kept with the most stunning gardens.

Breakfast and dinner were catered and was really underwhelming for the price we paid. We had a 40th birthday celebration, and the food was such a disappointment. Also, the common area was locked, so we had nowhere to sit in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine except outside, and they never put the grounds lights on. On Saturday early evening the sprinklers were on so we could not get into the dinner venue from where our rooms were as everything was locked.

Absolutely beautiful guesthouse with stunning gardens and friendly staff. All necessary facilities. Electric blankets, fridge, microwave. Beautifully antique furnished units. Very secure (parking and units).

My only complaint is that we had a pool facing room (overlooking the general area) and the curtains were completely see through at night (we did not realize until later).

The room was seperate from the main building and had a little private outdoor seating area..

The property is ideally situated, gardens are beautifull, with ample secure parking, however room no 8 had no bar fridge, so our drinks and meds could not be kept cool...in summer it is an issue and the pillows were horrendously soft, so we had to use the scatter pillow too.. We are used to memory foam pillows, and always travel with them, but this time we forgot it...

It looks as perfect as the pictures wow … a photographers dream. Very quaint very vintage like. The rooms are perfect. Honestly, I can’t fault anything it’s got so many hidden treasures every room has a unique special touch and some of the private gardens in the rooms is just amazing it’s hard to leave the venue and explore the cute town.

There was a transformer issue in the whole town so we were left without electricity for the whole day that put a damper on the trip, I think these days with the state of our country we always expect to have some backup electricity. But yeah… the electricity eventually came when we were asleep lol …

Absolutely no complaints at all. I had a problem with the aircon, but they sorted it quickly.

The beautiful gardens and the fine details to everything were just amazing. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable.

The fact that we did not have water the morning,we only had water at a later time. Traveling with a baby is challenging, and when you don't have water to clean bottles and so on, it makes it very difficult.

They could have supplied a few more tea bags and milk. There was only one teabag per person and a minute amount of milk. Come on guys, we're paying almost R1,000 per night and you're so stingy with a few teabags. The same goes for the coffee, only one little stick per person.

The place is beautiful. Secure parking. The room was spacious and comfortable. Would. Love to go there again for a longer period. It was really a nice experience
