The place look good

The lady that I spoke to on the phone was bit rude, not polite. I requested her to keep the phone closer, because I made few calls to them before the phone got answered. Incase of her apologizing, she told me that she won't be able to look at the phone because she's busy with other clients. By that time I was frustrated because the GPS stopped at the main gate, so I wanted someone to assist with further information.

The location is absolutely stunning. The staff were very helpful, super accommodating and friendly. The beds were fantastic and unexpectedly warm in the cold Free State winter.

There was a lot of noise on the first night of our stay that continued for most of the night. The second night was perfectly quiet, though. We struck it unlucky with the other guests on the first night. But there could maybe be a stricter noise policy.

The location was perfect,close enough to Parys town. The room exceeded our expectations and was very comfortable and just what we required. The lovely view over the river was magnificent with a little patio overlooking the pool and river. We enjoyed our overnight stay and will definitely be back when we visit again, thank you for the hospitality!

The food was awesome, we had breakfast both mornings. The staff are very friendly and incredibly accommodating. The staff were on hand to assist with anything we needed and are great to us. They even let us check out a little later, and they were cool about us arriving a little late. Great people.

Pool could be cleaner, but that is probably a water issues. We still swam and that was awesome, so very little to actually complain about.

Willow Bank is situated just outside Parys. Just far enough for privacy and relaxing and close enough to town when you need something. The property is beautifull and well maintained. The staff is very accommodating and always available. For sure one of the best venues I stayed at and highly recommend it for functions. Or just relaxing with beautiful view and style.

All is perfectly catered for.

The river view is exquisite from our rooms on the first floor. We loved walking and sitting next to the river. Beds are comfortable - excellent quality mattresses and bedding. we had one dinner at Willow Banks, very tasty chicken pies.

I would have loved a chair in my room for comfortable sitting. We were looking forward to the river cruise as advertised, but t the boat was in for service . Whilst this is understandable, we could have been made aware of this at the time of booking. The stuffed giraffe is grim - fortunately the rooms and view faced another way.

The view is awesome. Judy upgraded us from the tents (which look great) to the main room due to the rain. Bonus for Valentines for my hubby and I - thank you Judy. Henry was amazing. Very helpful, friendly - a real gem! The sunsets were great and it was peaceful. Pool is sparkling blue. Henry ensured we always had charged emergency lights. Leandri at the spa was great. She is friendly and offers great value for money. A massage listening to the sounds of birds and the river - amazing!

We got more than we expected, so there was nothing to dislike. The Spa needs a little love, but Leandri is great.

Everything was fine and clean and the staff was generally friendly

we had booked for the weekend 18-19th of which Parys was experiencing floods and we had to be evacuated because the lodge is in-front of the river. basically we did not do any of the staff we had planned to do, none of them. It should be stated on the website that their restaurant is no longer operational and they only cater for breakfast. The place is beautiful but we did not even sleep there, i honestly feel like the owe us that one night, yea the situation was out of their hands but they are the establishment, we did not get value for our money.

The place is wonderful, welcoming and a must return to. The presence of the river is inviting, calming, and good to look at. The pool is a good size and includes one for the little ones to play with water. The presence of the table and chairs outside is inviting for outdoor seating either by the pool or while looking at the river flow. The rooms are spacious with a super king bed and all the necessary amenities. The breakfast is filling and the staff is friendly, assistive, and ready to listen to your food requests. Should you feel like eating out for lunch or dinner (especially a romantic dinner), try O'S restaurant in Parys town (10 minute's drive).

The main challenge was no mark leading to the lodge after the dust road. Luckily we had read other people's reviews and knew what to expect. If we can suggest, place two more signs directing to the lodge after the entrance to the lodge.

The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, always willing to assist and to put the cherry on top they upgraded us just make our stay a little more comfortable. What a wonderful experience ❤️

I would like for them to put a little more emphasis on making sure their cleaners do a proper job. The cleaners are not paying attention to the little things that guests notice
