After a ten hour flight it was a relief to find my room ready for me early in the morning. When the staff heard I had been travelling all night I was quickly offered breakfast. Next day I was really upset to find that my tour had been cancelled, a quick discussion was held and an option was arranged immediately. The bedroom was large and tea facilities available. I was pleased to see the strong security around the hotel and enjoyed walking in the immaculate outdoor garden, followed by a swim. I wished that I had booked for another night

The location of the hotel is convenient and the security is good. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable, and very well equipped. The hotel grounds are lovely and the reception building quite grand with good amenities. Lovely pool and good gym facilities as well. Walking distance to all the main areas to visit in Pretoria.

The meals were lacking, a long wait for dinner meals, although good value and tasty when arrived, we did have a problem with the wait time. Breakfast is a bit pricey and not as good as it has been in previous years.

I spoke to numerous different staff members at the hotel and each of them were kind and accommodating and exceptionally helpful, even the employee who greeted us at 2 am. The room itself was also a lot more spacious than a standard hotel room which was really nice. Overall, it was a very comforting stay.

This is probably more a reflection of me than the hotel itself but I couldn't figure out how to make coffee using the provided coffee machine and pods, and no additional instructions were provided so unfortunately couldn't make coffee in the morning. But overall, I actually don't have any complaints.

I stayed at the Courtyard twice - for 2 nights and then 3 the next week. I will stay there again if I need to go back to Pretoria for work. On my first stay my room was a proper suite, with a lounge and work area which were separate to the bedroom. The room on my second stay was just a large room with a hall way which was large enough for a desk and the little kitchenette (which has a microwave, fridge and sink). The location is very good - its walking distance to Loftus and to Gautrain station. There are lots of embassies in the area around the hotel. It has a well equipped, albeit small, gym.

The quality of service depends on the staff on shift. I never got bad service and all staff were friendly, but the coffees were very variable. The bathrooms are old style with showers in the bath and in one of the rooms the water pressure was quite difficult to control - not a major issue, but could be improved. The breakfasts are ok and don't vary much (at all?) from day to day, which I suppose at a hotel of this level can be expected.

The staff are absolutely the best...Friendly and in a family kind of way....they recognized me although I had not been there for two years....some staff have been there for manymanymany years -- that to me is a good sign. And then of cause the beautiful green and lush environment.

We ate our own food in the room and really liked the neat little kitchen in the studio suite. We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening and the pizza was superb. Curry was so-so. Staff are absolutely incredible, thank you everybody. The old building is exquisite and well-maintained. Lovely gardens and terrace. Good security. I'm disabled and the wheelchair bathroom is stunning, it is safe and roomy.

The south-facing studio suite is a little cold and dark, though the heater is working. We had to ask for a spare blanket. Another window would be welcome. The food menu could be a bit more varied, it's quite limited

We enjoyed our stay at Courtyard. The place is close to the mall and to fairly close to the city center (ca. 30 minutes walk to the union building). Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff at the hotel gave us good pointers and tips on how to get around and what to explore in Pretoria.

The rooms were a bit dark but it wasn’t a big issue.

A warm, welcoming, nicely appointed place near to Loftusversveld stadium. Not your typical cold hotel chain. Also great value, prices were not jacked up because of the big sports event while everything else around it did go up (flights, taxis, food, drink.)

Neighbouring building is derelict and is one of the views from the room.

We could check in until 11pm as we had an early morning appointment and had to sleep over the night before. Old charm but kept up with maintenance en cleanliness.

We had a shower in a bath which was very slippery and the shower head was very low for an average height person standing.

Very friendly staff and excellent service. Had both dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant and both were excellent.

No dislikes really to mention, the infrastructure is a bit dated, but nothing that really detracted much from my stay.
