I loved the selection and variety at breakfast. It was very good. The location is great unless you arrive on game day like I did and get stuck in Sundowns traffic. But all went well in the end. I liked the city view.

On arrival one of the staff members, I think her name was Kesego, was extremely curt with me, and next day an older lady said to her that the same woman was not being friendly to her. I wanted breakfast with my room and she said no that's not what I booked in a rather unpleasant way. The other staff said I could change it at that same rate. That staff member gets an A from me. I wish I remembered her name.

The water pressure on the shower was amazing! The rooms look nicer and are more spacious than pictured. The bedding was lush and comfortable and always clean. The breakfast staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was always fresh and delicious. This was value for every last cent! There was also a very polite front desk lady- Boitumelo- who provided very helpful information as needed. There’s a great business centre side for those who may want to catch up on work or have virtual meetings.

The hotel and rooms are very modern and stylish. The location is excellent, the hotel is in a shopping square with many restaurants within walking distance and a short cab drive from the Gautrain station to connect to the airport. The manager was extremely attentive and friendly. The bar/restaurant on the rooftop is great for relaxing and having drinks. Breakfast buffet has a great variety.

Check in process took longer than I typically experience at other hotels. They didn't appear to have our rooms ready and asked if we wanted both rooms on the same floor. Also asked about twin or King beds when all of this was already specified on my booking. I paid for the accommodation on check in then later on discovered my son was asked to pay for his room service. I went to reception to ask why we can't bill to room, was told I didn't load credit...but I was not offered this option on check in! Eventually loaded credit and specifically asked for both rooms. Went to the bar later and tried to bill to the room, was told there no credit. I showed receipt for the credit loaded and had to wait further, eventually was told that all the credit was loaded to my son's room and nothing on mine.

I have to say when I booked the hotel to attend the post-graduate ceremony of my husband, I had only one criterion, which is for us to stay within 10 mins of the university of south Africa. So when we reached the location of Marriott Protea, not only were we given early check-in at 1 pm, the staffs were excellent. The value of the hotel not to mention its location and it's amenities exceeded our expectations! We will be back. The location while next to the stadium didn't have any congestion as there was no game or concert that weekend. We will certainly be back.

The staff are helpful. The location is convenient being 10 mins away from UNISA. Also, loftus park is amusing having the supermarket, Checkers and many other shops and restaurants. The cleanliness of the hotel is perfect.

However, the toiletry is not the best. They don’t offer toothpaste, toothbrush and slippers. There isn’t an iron in the room, yet you can borrow one. There is a bottle 3 in 1 shampoo, hair conditioner and body wash, which I didn’t like.

Everything offered by this Hotel is exceptional. Rooms are beautifully decorated. Beds are spacious and comfortable. The food is gloriously delicious.

The room service left much to be desired this time around. Firstly, I'd asked for the room's telephone to be fixed during room cleaning periods (in my absence). This was not done. Secondly, room service took extremely long to deliver ordered items to the room (apparently because they'd mixed up my room number, this is after my room number written down at the time of ordering). The staff kept calling the room on the dysfunctional phone, as a consequence they could not hear a single word I was saying. This was a little irritating.

The breakfast was absolutely ravishing and perfect 🤩 ❤️. Stuff was friendly indeed also the receptionist was absolutely good . Bar side view at rooftop looked good indeed also pool side at rooftop is good indeed . Protea hotel by Marriott is everything indeed 🔥🔥🥰💘. I would like to book again cause it is well 100 💯 percent clean ❤️🔥🥰. We used elevators to go to rooftop 👌👌💝. We took 1000 of pictures indeed cause every spot of protea hotel looks good 😊 ❤️💝💯. I give it 20 thousand percentage ❤️🥰.

We liked that fact that the restroom was separate from the actual sleeping facility, shopping center is walking distance.

We did not enjoy the loud music on the roof top some of us traveled far and enjoy having the window open. Although there are AC's in the room some fresh air is welcome but the noise was actually unbearable so we had to keep the windows closed and the ac on the whole night

I was happy with everything, I will definitely come back, there was one waitress his Is Tebogo he make weekend so special. Thanks again for your trustworthiness, I forgot my wallet and your staff found it nothing was missing everything was still the same, even all the money was there

Just to be specific about what is included on the package but like I was confused about when/ how to lunch etc, but that is not big thing, just to clear that's all

We chose this hotel for the location - as we went there for a Bulls rugby game. It saved us not to have to drive to and from the stadium. Breakfast was wonderful - big variety of food that was flavourful. Plus the breakfast staff were very assisting and friendly. I needed some things which housekeeping brought to us. The nearby restaurant on the top floor had a very lively and nice vibe, food and drink was nice. We thorougly enjoyed the stay.

Can you add handwash to the basin? I use the hotel soap now. It's just my preference. Nothing else.
