Osborne House is a really special place – there's just something so atmospheric about it! You'll love this beautiful house full of colonial character! It has spacious rooms that have everything you might need during your stay, including a bed, sofa, fridge, kettle, coffee, tea, mineral water and TV. I was so happy to find a place in a safe environment, close to the University of Pretoria, which was really important to me. But don't worry, you can find all this in other facilities too! I just know you're going to love this place, and it's all down to the wonderful people who run it. They are so warm, helpful and caring. It's such a lovely feeling to be taken care of like that. Dear Wynand and Jeanette, I can't thank you enough, and I really hope I'll get to host you again in the future.

I visited Osborne House last weekend and was genuinely enchanted by the entire experience. The architecture alone made me feel like I had stepped into a different time—elegant, peaceful, and rich with character. The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, making the stay feel personal and restful. My room was absolutely perfect, with high ceilings and warm colors that made it feel like a peaceful retreat. Breakfast was a highlight each morning—thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The spacious yard was just as lovely as the house itself—inviting, peaceful, and perfect for slow, soul-filled moments. I would absolutely recommend Osborne House to anyone looking for a place to rest, reflect, or simply enjoy beauty in quiet luxury.

The vintage setup of the guest house was soothing and exquisite. The garden well maintained and beautiful. The location was excellent in that it was quite and peaceful yet close enough to places like the Brooklyn Mall for instance. The hosts were friendly, particularly the lady of the house. She arranged a new room for us when we were not happy with the bed in the room we were booked into. That's excellent customer service in my books.

The rooms didn't have air-conditioning. While comfortable, the beds have seen better days and should be replaced. In the room we were moved into, the shower is in the bathtub and I would suggest that the two be separated (there's enough space to do it) as the water spills over while showering. More towel racks would help too. Perhaps consider putting blinds in the other bedrooms to enhance privacy with the curtains open.

This is a most unique, historical building with a remarkable interior. Most of all, I enjoyed the breakfast time: The breakfast itself is excellent (and served in style at one big table!), and it gave me the opportunity to talk to the hosts, the staff and the other guests which was very nice and interesting. My room was spacious (also very high) and comfortable. I was offered a laundry service free of charge, too.

Thank you for the unforgettable experience of staying in an authentic place of South Africa in a very safe environment with a beautiful garden and swimming pool, exceptional people who take care of Osborn House and tasty fresh continental breakfast. Few grocery stores nearby within 10 minutes walk and it was safe to go where alone due to many embassies based in this location.

Osborne House is conveniently located close to our family, the centre of Pretoria and various amenities. The rooms were comfortable and shower had good power. Breakfast each morning was also nice. The hosts were very friendly. Having the little sitting area with fridge and kettle was a nice touch.

Double parking in the car inside the gates was a little inconvenient when another guest needed to move their vehicle. But at least the cars were off the road. The double bed we had was very small-next time I'd opt for a twin bedroom so that we had more space for my 6'2" husband. Load shedding is a bit of an issue as this property does not have solar or back up generator power - I had one cold shower during our stay of 3 nights which wasn't too bad. Just come prepared with your battery pack if you need power overnight for medical devices.

Location is fantastic for parents with students at Tukkies. Close to all amenities. The room is beautiful in this old historic home and the garden is stunning, with the Ddition of an inviting pool, especially in a 38 degree Pretoria. Breakfast was delicious and a good start to everyday. The hosts Waynand and Jeanette are wonderful hosts and make you feel at home and comfortable, nothing is too much trouble.

We would've loved an air-conditioned room, but do understand with loadshedding everything is an issue.

Such amazing hosts. They were kind and hospitable and did everything they could to make my stay easy. The room was really large with a separate space to work and doors opening to the pool. Breakfasts were delicious and they even let me invite two guests to breakfast one morning! The area was safe and quiet - I went for morning runs in the neighborhood and felt perfectly safe as a woman on my own. It was like a home away from home and I would definitely go back.

I liked absolutely everything. The internet connection (wi-fi) was sometimes weak, but I could manage to get a stronger signal by sitting outside of the room, by the lovely pool.

Beautiful old building, big and spacious room with all necessary amenities. The room was a bit cold however all blankets were provided. Delicious breakfast and very kind staff. Wynand and Janette were very welcoming and lovely.

Maybe it would be nice to have a heater also in the bathroom as it was quite cold.
