Location was great! The only caveat there would be that it's not strictly "Beachfront", but that's fine, I don't think any hotel there was exactly "beachfront". It was only a very short walk, maybe 5 mins or 3 mins if you walk fast, away from the actual beach. It's walking distance from Club D Oasis and from the Mipo Station beach train.

Perhaps the bed could have been a bit better, the frame wasn't as sturdy as we would have liked and made a few creaking sounds. But not that bad! It didn't cause us to lose any sleep or anything like that. So overall it didn't take away much from the experience.

We had the Ocean Panorama room which was very big and the decor was absolutely stunning, (see my photos) there was also a very big bathroom with shower, toilet and 2 sinks but I didn’t get a photo of it. Extremely clean hotel, reception staff really friendly, we arrived from our flight in the morning so they let us store our luggage from 11am in the morning until 8pm when we got back from going out for the day. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from the beach which has a big selection of restaurants, supermarkets and street food. And 5 minutes walk in the other direction to Mipo train station where you can take the train to the next beach area where there are loads of surf places, we did a surf lesson there which was so much fun. The room even had a ‘clothes fridge’ which we hadn’t seen before, something very unique to English people :-)

The remote for the air conditioning was in Korean symbols so it was difficult to know how to work it, it would be good if the instructions could be printed in English. We just had to press every button until we got it to work how we wanted.

This hotel is located at Mipo Port, which is my favorite area of Haeundae. It's close to everything but not overly crowded. It's also next to the Haeundae Blue Line Train, which is nice but I recommend the seaside walking path the runs parallel to the tracks. The room was big with a lovely terrace that I used every day and offered an amazing view of the sea and fishing docks. I highly recommend booking a room with a terrace if you're staying during the warmer months. The hotel also has a lovely rooftop, which I saw once but didn't really need to use much since I had my own terrace. Compared to other hotels, they don't offer as many amenities, but they provide all the basics. Yes, they give guests the standard small Korean-size bath towels, but you can get a bigger one upon request. I visit Busan many times, and this is now my favorite hotel in the Haeundae area. I will definitely come back.

This is a minor thing, but after a shower, you always had to push the water towards the drain, or else it didn't really empty completely. Also, there always a small puddle of water remaining. It didn't really bother me, and I'm used to the showers with a drain on the floor, but it's nice to have it completely dry after a few hours.

This suited our sensibility... An older hotel retaining some of its original char, surviving against the super modern buildings. The setting right by the small fishing dock area was filled with fascinating scenes. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend a room with a porch. And the roof top was nice access

Just a few minor things to keep in mind... There is no onsite laundry or breakfast. The towels are fairly small. You may want to make use of a white noise app... Not super noisy but it is an active fishing dock.

The room was extra spacious and very comfortable to stay in. We loved TV with Netflix so we could watch kdramas. Everything was super clean and staff were very polite towards us. We liked the option to heat up food in the microwave in reception. The location of the hotel is perfect and terrace was cozy with nice view and also a reason we decided for this hotel.

Room was a bit humid without air condition turned on, which was expected as we stayed near beach.

Great location. Didn’t use the terrace as it I was cold and windy but Lovely view. If you have luggage, get off Haeundae Station and walk along the seafront, fairly flat. And if you use NAVER, input “HWIGELLI HOTEL” ( Korean pronunciation?!) and it will get you there. The sheet has holes, and some cupboards doors are unhinged… but everything was clean. There is a kettle with some paper cups. Did I mention that the towels are on the small side? No biggie! 5 mn walk from the Blues train and sky capsule..

- location : very convenient if you plan to stay around Haeundae and, to some extend, Gwangalli, or head to Gijang. Transportation is very convenient. It was perfect for my plans but I wouldnt recommend this hotel if you dont have a car and want to go towards Nampo/Jagalchi or Dadaepo. - staff : didnt have much to ask, so I saw the staff only for the check-in and out, but I could tell from those 5 minutes that they were very friendly and welcoming. - room : very large, clean, with amenities. Sockets right next to the bed. There was a kettle and papercups but... no tea/coffee ? Bathroom too was very large, hot water comes very quickly. The bed and pillows were on the (bery) firm side. Not a problem for me but maybe for some. - rooftop : view from the rooftop is amazing. I was even able to watch the fireworks festival from there and I really enjoyed it.

- I... couldnt find the café Aslan ? I probably misread the hotel description but I expected to find the café on the rooftop since there was this huge sign on the building. Maybe a café would be a great addition. - I would have appreciated even just coffee mix sticks so that I could at least have 'breakfast' other than this, I had a great stay there^^

Fantastic location right by the beach, large spacious rooms and friendly staff. The rooftop is really the highlight though - absolutely amazing views. Our stay was in September and we had the rooftop all to ourselves each night. Great place to have a few drinks and watch the sunset or to enjoy breakfast in the sun.

Our room stank of cigarettes. We notified the reception and they provided us with a an air freshener spray, which helped cover over some of it but didn't make it go away. It was a non-smoking room though so the blame should be placed on the previous guests and not the hotel

We spent two nights there and were pleasantly surprised! The room is super spacious with everything you need, including a kettle and paper cups for tea (there are no tea bags though). The shower and bathroom are separate, both were clean and smelled nice. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. At check-in we were given 20% vouchers for the café on the 3rd floor of the hostel, which is super cosy and has lots of recommendable hot drinks. The hostel itself is just outside the city centre but within short walking distance of Haeundae beach and therefore restaurants, shops and a small food market street. Perfect for the summer and to get breakfast, if you want to have your breakfast in your room. As we were there off-season, we couldn't make much use of the beach or the rooftop terrace. We had a look at the rooftop terrace anyway and it looked comfortable, with a nice view of the sea. All in all we had a really nice time at the hostel and would definitely recommend it.

This is something the hostel can't do much about and is more of a tip for someone planning to come with heavier luggage (e.g. a large suitcase): The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the nearest metro station and the walk is not very suitcase friendly. There are bus stops closer to the hotel, but the express bus from the train station (line 1003) does not take people with suitcases, so this is not an option. There are also stairs to the entrance of the hostel that you can't get around with a lift (at least not so obviously that we could see it when we arrived). So better be prepared to struggle a bit with your luggage before arrival.

The location was great, walking distance from the beach and nice Busan attractions. The staff are very helpful. The size of the room is nice with beautiful furniture . The wifi , A/C and hot water in the shower work very well.

The towels in the shower look very old and used . The coffee shop in the building has very limited options for breakfast.
