This room was great. It had a lot of table/counter space so we fit well. There was plenty of room to still move around once our suitcases were opened. Bathroom was big. Everything was clean and the staff that refreshed our room was very polite about our stuff. The location is awesome, it's in a really fun little district full of bars, restaurants and little bit of shopping. If you're not an adventurous American, you have a Starbucks and McDonalds on the same square. Convenience stores are peppered all around so anything you might have left at home can be purchased. There's also a bank that converts money right around the corner. The walk to the subway was about 8 minutes, and it's a main line (inner line) so you can easily get to anywhere you want quickly. The art is really cool and there's a lot to explore. The main tourist spots are 30-45 min away by subway and that's mostly because of spurts of walking (I'm fat and slow) and waiting on trains for transfers (usually 1-3 minutes). Communication with the staff both at the hotel and prior and after was fantastic. There was a gentleman that was fluent in English but the main lady that we ran into manning the Desk only spoke a little English but with the help of translation apps we had zero issue. I only mention this because it's important that English speak people understand that you need to learn Korean more than you think, don't be a rude American and expect everyone to cater to you!!

This was the first hotel we stayed in (and our favorite) so there was a bit of culture shock with the bathtub. We usually only do showers so figuring out how to bath with the shower cord and in the bathtub was different. This isn't anything on the hotel, just a different experience to expect.

The short walking distance to the subway station. The water pressure in the shower. The bed is comfortable.

The manless check in system. I had to repeat my name multiple times talking to the CCTV, then that staff left me hanging after confirming my booking. I waited for more than 10minutes at the reception until another staff came in physically to the counter. And even then I heard them having mixed up with my booking although I already informed them twice that I will be arriving the next day of my booking. I really hope this check in system can be improved, it's so frustrating.

I like the location of the hotel as it is located between subway line 9 Sport Complex stop and line 2 Jamsil saenae stop. Airport bus 6006 goes direct to both Sport Complex and Jamsil saenae stops making it's very convenience to travel to and from the airport to the hotel. Location is buzzing with shops. The room is spacious, very comfortable.

No bidet for the toilet :( They are trying to go for unmanned reception desk but it was a bit challenging to deal with the staff through the CCTV for check in/out because the staff mostly just talked in Korean. I also called front desk to request for iron but the staff asked me to send the request through e-mail instead is a bit ridiculous to me.

We loved everything about this hotel. Hotel Pharos exceeded our expectations. it is like a 5 star hotel that is very suitable for the budget and the price is not that high. The surroundings are very clean and there is no visible dust. All the staff are also kind. Also, the online assistant always replies to my questions online. The comfort room was very clean and the ambiance was very fragrant and cozy, very clean indeed! We will come back here again because it is also close to restaurants and the metro. Our sleeping place was very comfortable because of Hotel Pharos. We will definitely come back, Thank you!

For the lotte tower, shopping mall and lotte world, go out to the right at the end of the street go right and walk straight on till you see it. Also olympic park is nearby go right and at the end go left cross with burgerking to the right ant cross again then you are at the olympic park. The checking is on distant but the rooms are nice and clean and the staff was so sweet for my baby. Best place where we stayed in seoul.

I like that the room is nicely clean. and the hotel staff come to make the bed, changing fresh towel and providing new water bottle every single day of our stay. with the price that we pay for this place, is this very perfect hotel. The area seems a bit dodgy because it's all surrounded by motels. But honestly if you don't mind that you get a perfect, comfortable stay here and very easy to travel around Seoul too. Sure that I'm I have to go back to Seoul again I will choose to stay here.

The rooftop facility was under maintenance by the time that we staying. TV in the bath tub is a bit dodgy and doesn't work. The tub look like jacuzzi tub but the bubble feature doesn't work.

Very nice hotel in a nice area. There are many restaurants and entertainment venues in the area. The subway is very convenient and is also close to the Lotte World Tower, the shopping center and the sports facilities.

there is no longer a concierge to check in or check out. Or even just to call a taxi. You speak to a machine located at the entrance, from which a person who knows where answers you anyway. It would be nicer if there was a person there, also for safety reasons, given that the doors are always open.

Good location near subway stations. Travel into the touristy area is about 50 minutes. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and particular compliments to Clara who was very welcoming and chatty each day and helped us with planning and bookings.

Restaurants weren't open and therefore no breakfast options were available.

The front desk staff was so kind and helpful. I injured my leg during the stay here and she went out of her way to help me get well during the stay. I cannot thank her enough.

The water didn’t get super hot so I couldn’t take a hot bath, but it was warm enough to have no issues with showering.

I love the location, as it is suitably close to the Jamsil Sports Complex, but situated off of the main street. Therefore, it is generally very quiet. The room was luxurious, and well-presented.

Unfortunately, the spray nozzles of our spa bath were not operational. Although this is not a deal-breaker, I would have loved to soak in the giant bath tub a little longer.
