Close to everything so you could walk almost everywhere

We left a card in the slot for electricity so we could charge camera to take photos, but cleaner would come in and pull card out so nothing got charged and unable to take photos

Staff very friendly and willing to do so much in order to help us out. It was lovely to arrive to a free glass of cava! We also received some great food/ drinks recommendations from Viktor on the reception desk. He was a star!

Unfortunately we had some issues with the water running yellow/ brown in our room. Again, Viktor helped us out massively and called an engineer to the room within minutes, and when this wasn’t sorted we were swiftly switched rooms. An irritating issue but handled well by the staff!

Breakfast exceeded expectations - fantastic. Description is continental but there is hot food too. All staff encountered, receptionist, breakfast staff, and hotel maids were very nice. Lovely glass of complimentary cava on arrival. It was my partners birthday on the day of arrival and the hotel kindly arranged for a bottle of cava and cake to be sent to our room on arrival for a very reasonable price. The hotel upgraded our room for free from a small double to a standard twin room with a view overlooking the pool. We were very appreciative of this. Hair dryer in the bathroom by the mirror. Location was brilliant and the area felt safe at night. Beds and duvets were really comfortable. Air con was great.

The shower screen wasn't big enough, so the water went all over the bathroom floor when anyone had a shower. Not a major problem. The twin beds in the room that are pushed together move around very easily, presumably for ease/flexibility for cleaning etc). This was a little inconvenient when visiting as a couple as any time we moved the beds would move so we could not sleep together without falling down the hole that appeared between the beds.

The location is perfect. We were just a couple blocks off of the main drag with food and shopping. It was close to a lot of the famous attractions. The beds were comfortable and the staff were very helpful. We stayed in November which was a great price for the location because it was off-season.

The pool didn't have a good view and was much smaller than I expected, more of a dip pool. The walls are thin, we could hear the people in the room next to us having an argument late at night.

The entire hotel staff is very helpful and helpful in everything. The breakfast is good. The hotel is in a central area. About 20 minutes walk from many places. I hardly ever used the bus or the metro. An affordable price for the value.

The air conditioner did not heat. A technician came to fix the air conditioner, but the highest temperature he managed to reach was 23.5 degrees. At night the room was cold. The space between the end of the bed and the wall was about 15 cm. The transition to the other side of the room is not comfortable.

The location of the hotel is excellent - we never took public transport once as we could walk everywhere (about 30 minutes to the beach and main tourist attractions less than 30 minutes walk). We were upgraded on arrival to a room with a pool terrace, which was perfect. I’d recommend paying the bit extra for this as rooms as small so this gave us additional space. The pool area is small but the pool is lovely for a little dip on a hot day. The reception staff were incredibly helpful - I lost my phone one day and they helped us translate with the police (I managed to get my phone back, miraculously). I wouldn’t have gotten it back if it wasn’t for the hotel staff helping

This hotel was perfect for us and we will definitely stay again, the only thing to highlight is that rooms are small but rooms are always small in European cities

We enjoyed our stay at Grupotel Gran Via 678. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially Viktor, Eduardo & Francesco - who made delicious coffee! The hotel was in a good location, we could walk to all the main attractions in Barcelona and taxi's were easy to get outside of the building when our legs were tired. The bed was comfy for a good nights sleep too.

The room was a bit small and it was a struggle to fit two large suitcases in there, however we didn't book the biggest option. The pool was much smaller than anticipated too - underwhelming compared to the photos, but still nice for a dip.

I can say there was no bidet in the bathroom and had a heating towel rack in bathroom which was disconnected and didn’t work. Also they give you only 1 small bar of soap for a 3 day stay. Other toiletries were replaced daily including toothbrushes. I took a current adapter from states and one night when I came back to room mine was missing and was replaced with another. I complained to staff but only managed to give me another which only had one plug in vs mine which had two. Breakfast was good but pricey at €15 each. Hotel does not provide hand towels so bring your own! The plus was the open terrace by pool area which was closed in November.

No bidet in bathroom and no hand towels.

Excellent hotel with friendly accommodating staff who were so helpful with restaurant recommendations. We arrived early and our rooms were ready for an early check in. Refreshing cava available to welcome us too. Hotel is in an excellent location walking distance to lots of attractions and near to 3 different metro stops. Lovely breakfast each day. Interconnecting rooms perfect for our family and beds comfortable too.

Everything was excellent. The pool was very small and shallow too so we didn’t bother using it however it still looked nice for a refreshing dip!

Location to La Rumbla, the harbour, shopping…it was a really great location. The staff were amazing. Found an amazing coffee shop (Norte) about a block away from the hotel heading toward Sagrada Familia..

It was starting to get a little old and in need of some simple updates - recaulking the bottom of the shower so it doesn’t leak, attaching a door hinge to the wardrobe. The entrance doors are really close to each other so you always hear the doors slam when people enter/leave their room. The pool is pretty tiny.
