I stayed at Hostalin Barcelona Gran Via for three nights, and overall, it was a positive experience with a few areas for improvement. The staff service was phenomenal – they were incredibly friendly and responsive, making check-in and communication smooth and pleasant. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Barcelona, making it easy to reach key attractions on foot or via public transport. Despite its central location, the signage is a bit subtle, so it can be a bit tricky to spot from the street. Once inside, though, the cleanliness is top-notch, and I appreciated that the room was kept neat and tidy.

The noise level was noticeable, likely due to the central location and bustling street outside, so light sleepers might find it challenging without earplugs. The room itself is quite minimalist, featuring only a bed, a wardrobe, and two small bedside tables – so it might feel sparse for those expecting a bit more comfort or decor.

It's a good enough place to stay, perfect location, not too far from the center but away enough from the busy tourist areas. Easy to find and staff are friendly. Room is large enough with the high ceiling making it bigger and more spacious than what it is. Other reviews mention noise roads but I felt with the balcony doors closed it was quiet enough, so just keep it closed :)

Very Basic Room and you can see it needs a little bit of TLC, my mattress needs replacing as the middle part was sinking slightly therefore not great for the back, but for 1 night stay I was fine. Most rooms are near Reception and it can be noisy with people arriving late at night.

Towel quality, but hey, that's nothing to write home to complain about, is it? Also, I couldn't find a kettle but I guess another guest borrowed it and forgot to return it. Not a problem.

Both room and bathroom are spacious and clean. The shower area is big. Love the balcony overseeing the main street view with the chair to enjoy morning coffee. There's a mini fridge to keep cold drinks and fruits. Street is safe and quiet at night. Walking distance to main shopping street and Casa Mila and Battlo. There's lift to room and common area providing drinking water and filtered coffee and tea and some biscuits.

A bit far about 1km from the old quarter old town but it's close to Sagrada Familia. Receptionist can't speak good English.

Excellent location! Smack-bang in the middle of Barcelona. Nearby bus stop can take you up and down the city very easily. The room is spacious and clean. The staff were very kind and proactive despite language barriers.

The common room, where guests leave their food, was nice, however there was no sink… so we weren’t sure where to wash our plates & glasses after use… (we just used our own bathroom sinks). The hairdryer worked only 10 seconds for every 5 mins it sat in its holder lol. The TV remote had lost all of its icons and I couldn’t navigate it lol.

Great location, easy walk from the Aerobus stop. Room was compact but clean and comfortable. Hairdryer and shower gel/shampoo provided in the bathroom. Air con was a pleasant surprise. Staff were helpful and good natured, we appreciated the bottled water they gave us on arrival.

Struggled initially to find the property as there was just a small sign on the communal entrance. The walls were quite thin, so we could hear noise from the room next door & corridor.

It felt safe and secure. A bottle of water on arrival was really appreciated. I liked that it was a small operation. It didn’t feel that much like a hostel. Although it was right in the hustle and bustle of a big city it didn’t feel like it inside. No noise from outside the hostel could be heard at night. Shower gel, towels and soap provided.

The hairdryer was basic. I ended up not washing my hair whilst there as it would have taken a very long time to dry it!

Our host was incredibly nice and helpful, the room was very clean and pretty, it was quite big with a king bed, sofa and an armchair. The standard was high, and the location was perfect, very close to all the places we wanted to visit. Outside of the room there was a common area where you could get water, use the kettle or the microwave, make yourself a tea or a coffee and use glasses for drinks or wine.

A perfect room. The location are also perfect. I was there for one week. They are very kind. I asked for a small fridge and some plates. The room 11 on the Gran Via is very nice and sunny. I think it’s the nice part of the hotel because the other part with the reception can be not really quiet.

the corridors are poorly soundproofed so be careful not to disturb the other rooms. A suggestion: maybe to put some foam inside the metal box to leave the keys… to not disturb the other rooms.

Absolutely great place! The location is fantastic: so many tourist places reachable by walk, many lovely coffee places around, very nice drink bars close to the hostel, many metro & bus stations almost at next corner, even flower shop is so close that we bought fresh flowers! People were amazing: caring, always asking what we need, ready to give us fresh towels & clean our room after 2 days. The room is simple but with nice blanket, very comfortable bathroom & small balcony, clean & cosy. I would definitely come back to Hostalin Barcelona!
