The reception was great, the staff was always trying to help and all the instructions were very clear. We stayed in the 24 person room and it was s surprisingly comfortable and the curtens provided privacy, the room was cooled down by the AC to a perfect sleeping temperature (but if you get cold easily they provide an additional blanket). There were no mosquitos, which was refreshing after staying in Italy (if you know you know). The kitchen was well stacked (no cutting board tho) and provided most things for comfortable cooking. The bathrooms were clean, as was the room and kitchen. The hostel also has a free shot nights on thursday and friday with a bar and pub marathon after, if you're into that kind of thing! Also can't forget the most important thing: the location, which is absolutely amazing! The hostel is located about a 15-30 minute walk from most of the Barcelona attractions. We bought 10 metro rides for a 5 day stay and had almost a half left because we just kept walking everywhere lol!

The hostel is pretty big and comfortable. There is all what you’ll need and the kitchen is practical to use. Also, the private terrace is very nice and I like the system with the card to unlock the hostel door and the lockers. It makes the stay easier compared to a system with a code. You just need to be careful not loosing the card :) location and quality / price were very good !

I had the first room that is next to the street, so late in the night, we could hear people from the hostel talking while they are smoking their cigarette. Usually, it would have bothered me but weirdly, I could still sleep tight. Maybe this room isolation should be increased a little bit for people with a very fragile sleep (which is not my case). I would have added a shelf inside the locker so we can put some stuff on it and not be obliged to get our stuff from the luggage every time.

Location was very interesting, I would go back certainly. Since I was a hostel staff for almost 2 years in the past, there were some good details in this hostel that really called my attention! The hostel makes the guests very comfortable to contact them for any help just adding stickers near to the bed and also in the toilets providing administration what's up number for quick contact. That's wonderful! It was innovative and the company shows how much they care about their customers experience!

Some guests entered in the room during the night(1am) making some noise but after some complaints the staff rapidly solved the problem, he was very fast, wise and precise 😁

I had a very good stay in the hostel. Everything was clean and functional. I had one card that opened the door to the building, the bedroom door and my locker. My bed had drapes for intimacy and a power outlet. The lights automatically turn off after 11pm but you have a small lamp next to your bed if you want to keep reading, be on your phone etc. The bathrooms were always clean and I never had to wait. There is also a terrace! On the whole, the common area (kitchen space and sofas) was calm but with friendly people, open to chat. As a girl travelling alone, I felt very safe. I would recommend this hostel to someone staying in Barcelona.

Everything is good. Staff, reception works 24/7, location is average, machine for coffee, food, big kitchen, a lot of shower cabins, every bed is special part with curtain.

Maybe, you should put something in the bathroom to put things away.

Nothing at all best value for money in Barcelona Have been in a few hostels now and the winner is Hola! As a person who has been working with the best Hotels in Austria only 4 and 5 star hotels none of them have better staff and management!

Good value, nice location and friendly staff. But my bed may be too close to the main hall, I could hear some people talking after midnight that I couldn’t sleep well several nights. Lockers and other facilities are making noise easily and some roommates are not even trying to minimum the noise even after midnight. The shower room is a bit hard to use cus you need to keep pushing the bottom.

Hola Hostal has a 5 Star Management mentality Carlo and Albert could work in any 5 star Hotel anywhere perfect hospitality and as an insider in the Barcelona Hostel World I can confirm that HOLA definitely is the pinnacle of hospitality in the City there are smaller Hostels that are also 5 star when it comes to hospitality but the entire package here in Eixample is simply perfect! And there is very good news for Barcelona that I am not alowed to share yet but the improvement for the Hostelworld in 2026 will be tremendously!

The weather I did not expect rain like in Holland in Barcelona!

I liked everything and I can't wait to go back. The receptionists were very kind and helpful. It was my first vacation in Barcelona to celebrate my post-graduation and this hostel gave me so many people that I met and with whom I started a friendship, very nice evenings. The hostel is very big and well divided, even the bathrooms. The kitchen is very big, there are coffee machines, water and snacks. The beds are very comfortable and everything seemed very clean to me. The lockers are large and spacious.

The thing to improve in my opinion is the wifi because it doesn't work well and if it is possible to insert a stool to climb into the upper beds, because being short I had a bit of difficulty climbing. Otherwise I liked everything.

Great hostel in Barcelona! The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the hostel's kitchen had everything you'd need and was open nearly 24/7, the entire hostel was always clean, the bathrooms were decent, and every bed had a plug, light, curtain, and locker. The keycard system the hostel used was easy and convenient as was check-in/check-out. Lastly the location was great. There's a Aldi less than 100m away, a place to do around two blocks away, and major attractions like the Sagrada Familia and Ciutadella Park within a 15 minute walk.

The WiFi was horrendous! I had to attend online school for part of my stay and with the WiFi constantly connecting and disconnecting which made things difficult to say the least. The pillows were also a bit uncomfortable, even for a hostel. Other than that, it's a bit price but so is every hostel in Barcelona.
